Am I crooked?
“Nice night for a stroll?” A husky male voice sounds next to me sending a shiver down my spine.
Shit.
How long has he been standing here?
How long have I been looking at this damn sign?
This can’t be real.
I slowly look next to me. Sure enough, there he is. Nick Miller, looking towards the ASA house, standing right up next to me.
Our arms are brushing together.
I’m not saying anything. My throat has closed up, not allowing any sound out.
He looks good. He always looks good.
His wavy hair is even more wavy than usual and sticking out of his backwards cap.
He takes his hat off to fix it, showing off his thick biceps. His hair is a mess like the wind has been blowing through it or like he spent the day at the beach. Yet, he still looks sexy as fuck.
He leers down at me.
I’m staring. I’m the crazy girl staring at Nick Miller for way too long than what is considered appropriate.
“We keep running into each other,” he says, noting the obvious.
My mouth is dry. Why can’t I speak?
“Hey.” I manage to croak out.
That’s what I get out?Hey?
Like some moron that hasn’t heard anything he said.
“Hi,” he says, holding back a smirk.
That smirk. Why is he so sexy?
“What are you doing out here?” He asks, motioning to my house. “Thinking of joining the Alpha Sigma Alpha? I think you’re better than that.”
And that’s what pulls me back to reality.
Better than that?
Better than what exactly?
What is wrong with my Alpha’s? Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
“I am Alpha Sigma Alpha!” I snarl, watching his eyes widen into shock. “I’m trying to hang this dumb sign for pledge week.”
I point up to the house with the crooked sign that should be inviting to all new members. Instead, it looks like a desperate attempt to be straight.
“And there is nothing wrong with being an ASA. We’re smart, funny, and chill. Unlike the houses two blocks down that are all littered with garbage and vomit.” I add, defensively.
A little too defensively. I’m practically shoving my agenda down his throat. He turned from sexy to an arrogant pig in seconds. And he smells like sweat.Disgusting.
