“Listen, I’m seeing someone now.” I wince, letting Braxton down honestly. “Last time we were both in a weird place, but now’s not a good time either.”

“You? Seeing someone?” He laughs with a kind smile.

“Yeah, can you believe it?” I laugh, still having trouble believing it, let alone saying it out loud.

“Who’s the lucky guy?” Braxton turns right back into friend mode and looks around for my date.

“Luca,” I say just as I see him coming through the rink’s entrance behind Braxton. I quickly slip myself past him to stand between the two men. There’s no need for any fights tonight.

Braxton laughs and shakes his head. “I must really be out of the gossip loop to not have known that.”

“Hey, man.” Luca says as he comes and stakes his claim on me, towering over me and wrapping his arm over my shoulders.

“Hey,” Braxton holds his hand out for Luca to shake, and I have to elbow him to reciprocate the gesture. “Congrats on going to the Quakes. I guess you’re leaving pretty soon.”

“Thanks,” Luca gives a tight-lipped nod.

“Alright, be nice. Both of you.” I warn them. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Penny skating to the boards for a break.Perfect.“Penny!” I call out, grabbing Braxton’s arm to guide him away from Luca.

She grins when she sees the gift I’m bringing for her. The captain of the snowboarding team that she’s had her eye on.

“This is Penny. She’s good company.” I give Braxton a pat and wink at her before making my way back to Luca.

Penny mentioned she wanted to get to know Braxton, and it appears he’s single again.

Luca smirks as he watches me walking over to him. He knows exactly what I was doing. Playing matchmaker is my specialty, and it got him away from Luca and the macho standoff they were having.

I saunter up to him and throw my hands around his neck. “Care to take me for a spin before I get distracted again?”

His hands run up and down the silky material over my hips before he leans down, taking my lips in his.

“I want everyone here to know you’re mine,” he whispers with a nibble on my ear.

“Then let's show them.” I grab his hand, leading him to the side where I left my skates.

He kneels down in front of me, helping me to tie my rentals. He takes his time, running his hands over my calves and up my thigh, under my dress. Coming just short of my center.

With a tug, Luca pulls my dress up over my knees and leans down to kiss the inside of my thighs.

“Luca,” I push him back. “Save that for later.”

He smirks up at me with a lazy grin. “There’ll be plenty more for later.”

“Let’s skate.” I hold my hand out and, like a gentleman, Luca holds my knuckles to his lips before standing and helping me up out of my seat.

He never takes his hands off me as we glide over the ice, keeping his claim on my hips and arms as we round each turn. It’s tantalizing and a promise of what’s to come, and I’m feeding into every bit of it. Making sure my ass rubs against his crotch when he holds me in front of him.

“Ever been fucked in public, Love?” His strong hand slips between the slit of my satin dress as his lips brush against my ear.

“Yes,” I breathe out from the small contact of his fingers, finding their way into my panties, but quickly move away. “That wouldn’t be very appropriate for a President at her own event.”

“You drive me crazy.” Luca growls and pulls me closer to his side.

I turn to face him and hold his face in my hands as we slow down towards the center of the ice.

“I love your crazy.”

His dirty thought induced smirk fades as he blinks to focus on me.
