Hmm...

There is a numb pain in my head. Is that from the nap? Sometimes, if I take a long nap, my head hurts. But I’m not even on the beach. What the hell?

I pat my sides. There isn’t a hint of sand, but fabric, as if I’m on a bed.

Why am I on a bed?

Did I get a heatstroke and some medics put me elsewhere?

I sit up on the bed to stare at a map on the wall across the bed. I squint at that. It doesn’t look like a map of places I know. To be precise, it doesn’t look like a map of places on Earth. But I suppose there can be small countries here that I’m not familiar with.

I shake my head. Why would someone put a map of a far-away place on the wall here? It doesn’t make any sense.

No one is inside the room, though. There is no tube and nothing on me to monitor my vitals. Maybe I’m not in a first-aid place. But...

I check out myself. I’m still in my bikini and I look intact. This room is cool and at a nice temperature for a nap, but I’m not in that mood anymore. Something is very wrong. Say...

Where’s my cooler and my phone?

I get off the bed. “Hello? Is someone here?”

My voice echoes in the room with no one coming over. Did I get kidnapped? But... Kidnapped off a busy beach?

There is a desk to the side of the room, and it seems like someone’s bedroom. I take a step back and check out the bed. It is a lot larger than the bed I used to sleep on. Definitely intended for more than one person and not the kind of bed hospitals and caring facilities would offer.

I go to the door when it slides open.

I jump a step back when there seems to be someone on the other side.

“Oh, you woke up.”

It’s a man... wait, no...

I tilt my head to the side at this purple being in front of me. He is probably seven feet tall, very muscular, half-naked... There are tattoos around his chest and on his shoulders. More importantly, he is purple.

Am I having a heat stroke and seeing things? Humans aren’t purple. Even when humans are bruised, they don’t look this purple.

He is watching me with a grin. Maybe he is enjoying the attention.

I scowl. “Who are you? Why am I here?”

“Hello, I’m Vikul. Nice to meet you.” He keeps that annoying grin, as if he is proud of getting me here in this weird room.

“Why am I here? Did you kidnap me? Also, why are you purple?”

“Oh, kidnap. I suppose you can say that. I saw you on the beach.” He leans closer to me. He is taller than me, but the way he looks at me...

I shiver and resist the urge to take a step back. What is he planning to do?

He says, “I had the urge to get you here with me, so this is how it is now.”

What the actual fuck?

“Hell no! I’m leaving now!” I brace myself and head to the door, which he is blocking with his huge body. Maybe I should be more concerned about how I’m here with a hulky male for no good reason, but if I show him I’m nervous, maybe he’ll take that as a hint to do whatever he wants to.

“Well, where are you going?” He takes a step to the side and lets me get out of the door.

Outside...
