"You're the only one who knows where it is?” she asked, her stupid heart beating a little faster. “I feel like I should let everyone in my life know that if I suddenly disappear, you should be the first suspect." Her heart wasn’t racing because she was worried.

"Oh, I'm not gonna kill you. It’s going to be too fucking entertaining to see you try to make it through a whole weekend in a bayou cabin."

"I would really prefer someone else take me out there."

"Well, I’m the one who has to make sure that you get out there and stay out there. You have to prove it to me, remember?"

She crossed her arms and tipped her head studying him. "You like that, don't you? That you have something to hold over me? That I have to do just what you're telling me?"

It was probably just her horny imagination, but for a second she thought that maybe there was some heat flickering in his eyes. "Yeah, I do like the idea of you doing what I tell you."

Okay, so maybe it wasn't her imagination. Her pulse was thumping faster, but she worked very hard not to let on. "Well, getting bossed around isn’t really my style, so enjoy it while you can."

"I intend to."

Had he just leaned in? Surely not. But her body could've sworn that he got a little closer and the air around them got a little hotter.

"526…" She paused. “Are you going to at least write this down?”

He blinked, as if he was thinking other thoughts for a moment there too. Then he nodded, pulled his phone out.

She rattled the rest of her number off, and he entered the digits without her needing to repeat them.

"I'll text you a list of things you should bring along too," he said, pocketing his phone again.

"Don't worry, I'll remember my pajamas and toothbrush."

"Yeah, you might need a few essentials. Towels, bedding. Food."

She shook her head. "That should all be provided. If this experience is to show me what my idea would be like, then there have to be at least the basics.”

One corner of his mouth curled up. "Okay, City Girl. I can’t promise you theluxuryexperience you’re used to, but I can definitely supply your basic needs.”

Heat rushed through her chest to her belly and then lower into her pussy.

But she was not going to deny how her imagination tookthatstatement. No, sex with Theo wouldn’t beluxurious. There would be no expensive wine, rose petals on silk sheets, or heated massage oil. But it would be more than basic. He was a down and dirty, rough, and graphic type who wouldn’t make love to her. He’d fuck her. But it would be the best sex of her life.

She cleared her throat, very afraid that her cheeks were showing all of the heat the rest of her body was feeling.

"Never mind, I don't trust you,” she told him, her voice husky. Dammit. But shedidn’ttrust him. And it wasn’t about toothbrushes. She didn’t trust him to not make her an addict to his type of fucking. She’d never want to go back to how the guys in suits liked to wine and dine her.

Shelikeddressing up in amazing dresses and heels, being taken out on the town, ridiculously high thread count sheets, room service, massages. She loved a man in a suit. She loved the smell of expensive leather, and scotch, and cologne.

She was pretty sure she did, anyway.

She was having a hard time recalling any of those scents at the moment anddamn,Theo’s denim was making her panties just as wet as any Armani suit ever had.

Probably more so.

“Tell me what I need to bring,” she snapped.

He smiled knowingly, which made her grit her teeth. It was bad enough to be attracted to the guy, but she absolutely did not want him toknowthat she was attracted.

"I think the list of things you need is probably pretty long," he said. "But I’ve got you covered for a night or two.”

Ugh, it was going to be a long weekend.

She was definitely going to need to pack her vibrator.
