Ooh, are you finally going to open your flower shop? I can’t wait! Jackson will be buying me a bouquet every single day if he knows what’s good for him. That should help with your bottom line! I’m so excited for you!

Do you know who Jacks bought the bakery from? Did they own the thrift store too? Wondering if they’d consider renting…
SELENA:

What does Jacks have to do with it?
SELENA:
Just call him!
That’s weird. Why would Jacks know how to rent the old thrift store in Western Springs?
And that’s when I get it.
With a few taps on the screen, I’m calling my best friend.
“Hey, Lil. What’s up?” Jacks’ voice sounds kind of breathless.
“Did you buy an entire city block in Western Springs, best friend forever?”
“Ummm… Did I, what now?” Is he… panting?
“Is this a bad time?”
“Kind of, yeah. But I always have time for you, Lil.”
“What are you doing?”
“My wife.”
“Ewww. Gross! Selena just told me to call you.”
“Did she now?” Jacks groans into the phone, and I hear Selena giggling in the background.
“Well, whatever you’re doing. Apparently, she had time to text me without you even noticing. So, you might want to work on your technique, is all I’m saying.”
Selena giggles again in the background.
