I tap the tip of her nose. “The tide is turning for you, Miss Herrera.”

“True, but this kind of luxury isn’t in my future anytime soon.”

I shoulder bump her. “Keep hanging out with me, kid.”

“I might take you up on your offer.”

“You like the view?”

She stands up from the black velvet modular sectional where we’re sitting, and strides barefoot to the floor-to-ceiling windows.

As she admires the view, I admire her in her form fitted burgundy wrap dress.

Christ. Nice, round ass, the sweetest little pussy, and heavy, large tits, tipped with nipples that are always hard for me. Always ready for me to suck on them. Heaven.

“Late September is a magical time of the year,” she says, “but staring down at Central Park from this vantage point in the early evening with the sky spotted with warm colors that match the leaves, it’s like admiring a Van Gogh exhibit at The Met.”

I reach inside a tall, painted ceramic vase imported from Italy, retrieve what I hid before she arrived, and slide it into my pants pocket. Standing up, I stalk towards her.

“It is,” I say.

I angle my body.

“When I left New York after my divorce, I swore I’d never move back permanently.” She peers up at me. “I didn’t care how many red eye flights I had to endure to keep my local clients happy. It was inconceivable for me to ever live in the Big Apple again. I wanted to be as far away as humanly possible from my brother and ex-wife while still remaining in the country. The night I looked into your beautiful brown eyes turned my world upside down.”

She pulls her lower lip between her teeth.

“This past week in Silicon Valley seemed to stretch over a year,” I continue. “I just wanted to get back to you.”

She places a hand over her heart. “I can’t believe you feel this way about me.”

“Believe it.”

“This past week was cruel for me as well.”

“I don’t plan on going back to the Silicon Valley office for at least a month. The new VP and upper management staff can operate without me.”

“You get to enjoy your new penthouse and this eye-popping view.”

I shrug. “I guess.”

Her jaw drops. “Unless you’re walking around with your eyes closed and a sleep mask,” she sweeps her arms around my sprawling penthouse, “it’s impossible to miss the view. Your floor-to-ceiling windows, surrounding your penthouse, guarantee you’ll get an eyeful every time you walk around. Even the view from your home office is spectacular.”

I rub my thumb over her bottom lip. “It’s a shame I’ll only be able to enjoy the view in the morning and on weekends since my office is in Brooklyn.”

“Still, some people will never see such beauty in their lifetime.”

I nod. “True, but don’t you think someone should enjoy this during the day? It’s great inspiration… especially if you’re building a new business and you intend on taking the world by storm.”

Her eyes widen in shock.

Blink.

Blink.

Blink.

“I’m a self-confessed workaholic, it’s one of my many shortcomings, but I reckon if I had someone to come home to, I’d change my ways.”
