“I want to enlist Dominika as the video producer and creator.”

“This is quite the departure for someone who specializes in music videos.” Collin is right. Rod’s best friend is one of the most sought after video producers and creators in the industry.

“I know, but at the price point these bikes will fetch, the commercials need to hit the bullseye without clobbering the viewer over the head with cheesy tactics. The ideal client isn’t someone who needs to be convinced of the virtues of working out. It’s someone who wants to take their workout to the next level.”

“You’re sure this has legs?” Collin questions. “After all, you don’t have numbers yet.”

“Like I said, the app is the hold up. I’m convinced Jules is sitting on something huge,” I reiterate.

“You’re pretty confident about this.” He’s not onboard.

“I’m telling you, Collin, you have to see it to believe it.”

Silence stretches on the other end for a beat.

“How long will you be at Jules’s office?” he asks.

“I take it you’re coming down?”

“You’ve piqued my curiosity. I want to check out the bike with my own eyes. Feel free to call my brother, but I have no doubt it’ll be the same for Shane.”

Chapter 19

Jules

Collin and Shane Dennison are standing in my warehouse.

Oh. My. God.

Someone pinch me!

I’m doing my best to maintain my cool and not come across like a silly fan girl, but it’s really hard. The Dennison brothers have the kind of over-the-top presence that commands attention. Sure, they’re absolutely gorgeous, but it’s much more than that. Just like Levi, the tall, blue-eyed, brown-haired hunks ooze confidence. I’m not used to being around men who strut around, dripping with that much cocksureness. And that’s the operative word. These guys are men. Not boys.

Talk about an upgrade.

When Levi said he had a couple of candidates in mind as business partners, never in a million years did I imagine it would be Shane and Collin Dennison.

I mean, these two are celebrities.

Much to my surprise, the Dennison brothers showed up in appropriate training gear, which made it very easy for them to jump on the bikes and give them a good run. They also inspected and tested the other smart equipment. I’m not going to lie, I was biting my nails, anticipating their verdict. The words that came out of Shane’s mouth nearly landed me on my ass. “Jules, Levi is right, you’re sitting on a gold mine.” Just when I had lost all hope, these men show up in my life. Hillary expected me to drown. On the contrary. I’ll end up with a trio of kickass business partners to the rescue.

Go me!

After giving the Dennison brothers a tour of the warehouse, we’re back in the small conference room. For the past three hours I’ve been taking the three men through our operations. We’ve been poring over spreadsheets, contracts, patents, and a slew of other documents related to the production of the bikes.

“Between the three of us, we should have the funds to kickstart this,” Shane says. “But what about creating a crowdfunding campaign? This would be a massive flow of upfront cash.”

I frown. “We can’t produce thousands of these a week,” I caution.

“Your dad produced a hundred CycleThonix bikes, right?” Shane asks.

“Yes,” I confirm.

“That’s more than enough to get the buzz going,” he says. “To sweeten the pot, we could offer personalized training and rides for the core group of one hundred who snatch the first round of equipment. One of my former clients won the Tour de France twice. Imagine if people were able to tap into his training routine from the comfort of their home?”

“Oh!” my eyes light up with excitement.

“On top of that, I can offer meal and diet plans,” Shane adds. “Plus, Collin and I can share one of his typical workout sessions—I’m still his personal trainer.”
