Rhys has hinted at it. So has Holt. She’s a departure from every woman I’ve ever been with. The more I’m with her, the more I want to be with her. I can’t explain it. That said, there’s no way I’ll attempt to make sense of it while we’re in Germany. I have a lot more interesting things on my mind.

I allow my hands to glide down her back. “You know what I like the most about this dress?”

“What?”

“Easy access,” I say as I slide the zipper down a little.

“Don’t you dare.”

“I’m practicing for later.”

“Aren’t you a little cocky?”

“Are you telling me you had enough earlier?”

She doesn’t answer.

Yeah, I thought so.

The shower was a tease—lots of kissing, touching and stroking. I didn’t want to take things too far because after so many weeks of celibacy, a quickie was out of the question.

“We start the day at eight a.m. sharp tomorrow morning,” she says as an excuse.

“So?”

“With the jetlag, I’ll need my beauty sleep.”

“That’s lame.”

“What do you want from me?” she asks.

I grab her hand and place it over my throbbing cock.

She hitches a breath.

“I’ll tell you exactly what I want from you after the gala.”

Chapter 35

Arianne

The opening gala for the upcoming release of the six-figure headphones is taking place at the Schützenweide reception hall—a building on the premises of Sennheiser’s headquarters. I almost passed out when Beckett told me people were willing to fork out ninety thousand dollars for headphones. It’s preposterous the new model is even more expensive. I suppose when money isn’t an object, you wouldn’t balk at the exorbitant price tag. I’m not their target audience. That said, most of the people I’m rubbing elbows with tonight, are. Including the good-looking guy standing next to me.

After shaking too many hands, Beckett and I are standing near the piano, enjoying a glass of champagne, accompanied by some delicious finger food. It’s the only exciting part of the evening. For all the money in the room, tonight is a bit of a snooze fest.

“Let’s give it another half hour and we’ll call it a night,” Beckett says.

“I second that.”

“If it isn’t Mr. CEO in the flesh,” a voice says.

I turn around to see two tall men approaching us.

I do a double take and my jaw drops.

No way.

I mean, no way.
