“I love you.” She wraps her arms around my waist. “Okay. Let’s do it.”

God, she has no idea what she’s agreed to.

We enter Bulgari to a warm welcome from Boris, the manager. He’s been waiting for us. I see the anticipation—and trepidation—in Clover’s eyes, and it fuels my determination to make today truly extraordinary. She deserves everything I have to give, this shopping spree is just the tip of the iceberg.

Boris leads us past dazzling displays of jewelry, each piece radiating beauty and craftsmanship. He leads us into the private room in the back, where a mesmerizing one-of-a-kind necklace is displayed on a black velvet mannequin. Meticulously crafted for Clover

She gasps. “What is this?”

I can’t keep the shit-eating grin off my face as Boris describes the piece. It’s a collection of exquisite aquamarines, each shimmering with a serene blue hue that evokes the tranquility of the ocean. The delicate strands of diamonds intertwine with the aquamarines, creating a harmonious dance of light and color. The platinum setting is adorned with intricate detailing, showcasing impeccable artistry.

“Did you wear a scoop neck under that sweater like I asked?” I take the necklace off the display.

Clover nods, then shakes her head in disbelief. Sheds her sweater. Turns her back to me so I can place the jewels around her neck. “I can’t even…” She turns and gasps when she sees her reflection in the mirror.

“You’re beautiful.” I openly admire how perfect this necklace is. Every aquamarine gem is the exact color of her eyes, just like I planned. “I commissioned this for you as a symbol of our unique love story. I hope you realize this is an expression of my deep love and admiration for you. I envision this to be one of many cherished family heirlooms that you will pass to our children as a testament to our love.”

Hell, I know it’s sappy. I know it’s a little presumptuous. But, it’s how I feel. So, at the very least, I’m being authentic.

Clover is overcome with emotion. “JJ…I have no words. That is the single most beautiful thing that has been said to anyone ever. The fact you commissioned this for me is overwhelming. I love it. I love you.”

Boris helps Clover take off the necklace and wraps it up for Victor to take back to the Beverly Hilton hotel, where the Gala is being held and where we’ll be staying in the newly refurbished Presidential Suite. We’re certainly not going to walk Rodeo Drive with a six-million-dollar piece of jewelry.

We stop for lunch at 208 Rodeo, where we eat lobster mango salads, truffle fries and sip Bellinis, of course. Our next stop is the Armani store, where Clover will pick out her dress for tonight.

“You’re spoiling me, and I’ll admit, I’m getting into it.” Clover’s arms are looped through my elbow as I pay for the stunning dress, undergarments, shoes, and clutch she chose.

I gather up the packages and text Victor our location. “You’re a quick shopper. We can keep going, or we have a few hours before the gala. How do you feel about a nap?” I waggle my eyebrows.

“You didn’t need to spend a small fortune to convince me to ride your cock, you know,” she whispers in my ear. I’ve been semi-erect all day, and with that proclamation I’m straining against my slacks just as Victor pulls up.

I open the door for her and ram my erection into her ass. Whisper in her ear, “Get your sexy ass in there before I yank down these leggings and fuck you right here and now.”

I wait for Clover at the fireplace in the suite, gazing out through the floor-to-ceiling windows at the Beverly Hills skyline. I have to admit, the pace of life in LA is a lot different than New York but it’s growing on me.

She’s getting ready in the walk-in closet, where a team of hair and makeup artists primp and prep her. I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked to get lost in her lush body this afternoon, but tonight’s a different story. I can’t wait to make love to Clover wearing nothing but that necklace dangling between her delectable tits.

“Well, what do you think?” Clover appears in the foyer. Holy fuck. She’s a vision in a sophisticated black dress embroidered with thousands of black and midnight-blue beads that seem to capture the sparkle of the night sky. Her necklace hangs delicately against the deep neckline, which is embellished with crystals and sequins in a refined, elegant pattern. Her hair is curled in loose waves. Makeup is understated, but sultry. She holds a satin clutch with crystals that match her dress.

I’ve never seen a woman more beautiful. Her taste is impeccable. The combination of the dress, necklace, and clutch is a fashion masterclass in understated yet luxurious sensuality.

“I’m not worthy.” I step toward her in my deep-blue tuxedo. “But I’m never letting you go.”

As we make our way downstairs and through the check-in to the gala, I hold Clover close. This event is filled with celebrities and famous personalities, but tonight, she’s the belle of the ball and I’m the proudest man in the room. I feel like a teenager, giddy at the prospect of introducing Clover to the world at large as my significant other.

This is her true public debut, which makes this night unforgettable.

We step into the grand ballroom, which is adorned with elegant decorations. The soft glow of chandeliers cast a warm ambiance and the air is filled with excitement and anticipation. “Wow, this is incredible.” Clover looks around, absorbing the breathtaking scene before us. “Thank you for bringing me, I’m no stranger to charity balls, but I’ve never been to such a prestigious event.”

“I’m grateful you’re with me.” I bend down to steal a kiss. “Should we look at the silent-auction items?”

Lively conversations and soft music fill the air as we make our way toward the silent auction area. We approach the first item, a luxurious vacation package to a private island retreat. Clover’s fingers delicately trace the description, her eyes widening in awe. “JJ, can you imagine spending a week on the beach together?”

“It would be a dream come true if you’d be in a bikini the whole time.” I grin and reach for my phone, where the bids are placed through the app. “I’ll just take it at the ‘buy it now’ price.”

She slaps my hand away. “You’ve treated me enough today. Let me do this.” She fires up the app and taps her phone. “Done. Now I’m taking you on vacation and you don’t have a say.” She sticks out her tongue.

“I know where I want that tongue later.” I wrap my arms around her and kiss her deeply.
