With a swift movement, he’s back on his knees with his tongue back inside of me and his hands along the sides of my thighs. Gasps leave my mouth and it’s getting harder to breathe in this shower.

I give up. “I’m coming…” I whimper, clutching at his drenched hair.

Kyro doesn’t say a word, just continues to lap up all the juices flowing through me. I relax and slide to the floor. Kyro gets up and stares down at me with those cruel eyes. “Clean yourself up. You’re a mess.” He snickers.

Said the bastard whose clothes were underwater.

When I try to get up, I can’t. My legs are giving out. “I can’t get up,” I admit.

My fingers latch onto his clothing. My body is still shaking from my orgasm. I haven’t had an orgasm since Ivan. I should feel disgusted that I was able to come from just his fingers and mouth, but I can’t find any feeling of disgust. My body feels euphoric.

Kyro smirks and his strong, bulging arms pick me up with ease. “Like I said, needy.” He taunts once more. He sits me down on the bed and rubs my aching legs. “We have dinner to go to today.” He utters.

My body forces out a yawn. “Dinner?”

“I have invited your mother and father to dinner in our home.” He explains. “Their plane landed this morning, and I have put them up in a luxury suite. I would house them here, but…”

I stop him, “Yeah, I know.” He doesn’t want them to find out about what my new husband does. When I called my parents and told them I was moving, they were shocked and confused. I expect that reaction. My parents loved Ivan and I worry they won’t warm up to Kyro so quickly. Especially since they didn’t know he existed until a couple of days ago.

Prince walks into our room. “Mom, are you not feeling alright?” His voice filled with worry.

I smile. “Yeah, I’m just a little tired. I didn’t sleep much last night. Why don’t we finish the puzzle another day? Your abuelosare coming today. So, make sure your room is clean. I’ll help you pick out an outfit in a bit, okay?”

Kyro clears his throat. “Prince, how about I help you pick something out?”

Prince smiles, “Good, ‘cause honestly, Mom doesn’t know much about guy clothes.”

I roll my eyes, “Whatever, I didn’t want to help you anyway.” I say sarcastically.

Prince smiles wider and rubs my arm. I look over at Kyro and see the smile on his face as he watches Prince run out of the room.

“And your parents? Are they joining us?” My question results in his smile immediately dropping from his face.

“No.” That is the answer he gives me.

I didn’t push the subject and moved on.

Fifteen Years Ago

Kyro

I hated coming home from school. If I could live in my high school, I would.

When I get home, my mother smiles at me as she cuts tomatoes with shaking hands. The bruises on her arms are fresh.

My father isn’t home, which is not surprising. He only comes home in the middle of the night in a drunken rage and then falls asleep.

I went to the police about it and my father convinced them I was lying. He beat her harder that day. So now I live day to day and pretend I don’t notice what’s happening.

Present

Reyna decided to take another shower and so I left to help Prince pick out his outfit for dinner.

“Should we match?” Prince proposes. “I’m thinking we do all-black suits. Mom likes all-black suits.”

When I was a child, I pushed down the things that bothered me and I don’t want Prince to feel that way. “Prince, can I ask you something? How do you feel about your mother and I getting married? Please be truthful.”

Prince sighs. “Dad went through this with me already. He told me this would happen. If mom is happy, then I am too. I mean it.”
