“Reyna is with a man. She is going up an elevator.” He informs.

What does she think she’s doing? She’s going to cost that man his life.

“Follow her and wait for me to arrive.” It has not even been a full day and my soon-to-be wife is already generating such trouble. Ivan, what a headache of a woman you left me with. I passed the detonator to one of my captains. “Something more crucial needs my attention now.” I sigh.

I took a car to the hotel spa I left her at. The elevator carries me to the top floor where their restaurant is located.

Reyna is sitting at a table with a man in a suit and laughing. Her eyes land on me and her smile drops. I smile even wider as I take a seat at the table. I lean over to her to kiss her, and to my surprise, she kisses me back.

“This has to be him.” The man laughs. “Hey man, I’m Rowan Days. Reyna and I were catching up. She was telling me she got married and moved out of New York. I haven’t seen her since high school.”

He extends his hand to me, and I shake it. “Kyro.”

It took me a second to see his badge hanging off his pants. A pig? “I’m sorry to ruin a good day, but our son is not feeling well and wants to have his mother nearby. You understand.” I lie.

“Oh, of course.” Rowan nods. “Reyna, it was good running into you. Congrats again on your marriage, to both of you.” He says before we get up to leave.

Reyna grasps my arm. “What’s wrong with Prince?”

“Nothing.” I bluntly replied, “What’s wrong is that his mother decides to have a date with a man that is not her husband. Let me make something abundantly clear to you. If you need someone to make love to you, I will. If you want someone to fuck you senselessly, I will. That goes for me as well.”

“So, you can fuck other people, but I can’t?” She scoffs a laugh.

Her laugh makes me want to lose my temper, but I calmly say, “Did I ever say I would be fucking other women? You are going to be my wife and I will honor you as such. I will not touch anyone but you. If another man had touched you, Ivan would have put a bullet in that person’s head, but I’m notnearly thathumane.” My straightforward response doesn’t faze her, and she just sighs and rolls her eyes.

She doesn’t look in my direction for a second. When we got home, I found Prince reading a book in his room. I have yet to speak to him.

“Hey, Kyro!” He cheerfully says. He then squints his eyes. “Or should I call you dad? Or are we not there yet? I’m blabbing, aren’t I?”

I cover my mouth as I can’t help but laugh at his loud approach. “You can call me whatever you want. I know this must be quite the change for you.”

He shrugs. “It’s okay. I knew it was going to happen, eventually.Papatold me.”

My smile disappears. I kneel on the floor next to Prince. “What did he tell you?”

He puts the book down, “He said, the ones who were following us were Irish.”

“What else did he say?” I push lightly.

He shrugs. “That’s it, but he also told me about you a while ago. He said that you better be nice to Mom, or he will haunt you.” He laughs. Prince then gets up and hugs me. I wrap my arms around him in confusion. “He also said to hug you for him. He said that he missed you a lot, and that crying is for pussies.”

“He’s right.” I laugh. “I will be nice to her. I’m going to be nice to her right now.”

The Irish killed Ivan then.I’lldeal with them accordingly, but I must take care of Reyna first. From the look in her eyes, Ivan was the love of her life, and she will not warm up to me if I keep her at a distance, then yank her on a leash when I want.

Reyna lies on our bed as she flips through channels. “Bored?” I say, coming into the room.

“Of course, I am. You forced me to leave a lovely dinner to come home and do nothing. So here I am. Your obedient wife, at your service.” Her sarcastic tone was evident.

I sigh. “I think we need to establish the rules of our marriage,” I state.

“Fine.” She sits up and sits at the end of the bed where I’m standing. Reyna pulls me closer to her. “I don’t expect you to love me. I don’t need you to either, but I expect you to keep me content as a woman. Pretend if you must. I’ll live in this delusion with you, if that’s what it takes to be happy.”

Her hand grabs my shirt and pulls me closer. This is not the first time she was this close to me. She is not nervous or hesitant.

“Actually,” she pauses, “Let’s wait for our wedding night. I would hate to take your virginity and have everyone call you a whore who couldn’t keep his legs together.” I snicker at her response.

“Kissing is fine, right?” I smirk.
