"Hey, is Tate around? Dad sent me to talk to him about something," I admitted.

Elias's usual grin was back and he leaned over the counter. "Oh, he's going to love this. He's shirtless right now at the pool running a class."

"Why would he love this?" I asked, confused. He grinned wider like he wasn't being completely confusing.

"Nah, he loves a solid interruption," Elias clearly lied. "Head straight through those doors, down the hall, then hang a left, can't miss it.

"Thanks, Elias," I said, giving him one last confused look before walking away. His gaze stayed on me enough I could feel it. When I glanced back his eyes were firmly planted on my ass.

The man is surrounded by all these fit women and he's checkingmyass out?

And dammit, I loved it.

Just to see how he’d react, I put a bit of extra sway in my hips just for him. I heard a soft groan before I moved out of earshot and chuckled to myself as I followed his directions.

All my laughter fell away as I pushed open the door to the pool. There was Tate, standing in hip deep water, all of his muscled glory on display, glistening with water. My mouth went dry and I drank in the sight of him.

Fuck, he was gorgeous.

As if he could hear my internal lusting, he looked up to find me standing there, surprise coloring his hazel eyes.

"Oh, who is this?"

It was only then I realized his pool was full of old women. They ranged in height and weight, a variety of bodies and shapes. They were all looking from me to him, mischievous grins on their faces.

Uh oh, old ladies could be trouble.

"Coach's daughter," Tate grunted out. "Macy?"

"Uh, can we talk after your class?"

"Sure," he said. "Everything okay?"

"Yeah, Dad sent me your way about something. No big deal. I'll wait out here," I said, hooking my thumb at the door behind me.

"No, you can stay," he offered, turning back to the gleeful ladies in front of him.

"Is she your girlfriend?" someone called out. He met my eyes for a flicker before leveling her with a bored stare.

"Not yet," he said before barking out their orders. "Come on, lift those knees, one, two, three!"

His words tumbled around in my head, not quite making sense.

Not yet.

Did that mean?

What the hell was happening? First Elias, now Tate.

Was I in a fever dream or something? What the hell?

Then Luke's words rolled over me like a storm cloud, reminding me that they were far out of my league.

They don't want your extra pounds.

Sure, I was happy with my body. It was mine, I fed it, clothed it, and kept it strong. But sometimes, those insecurities were hard to shake.

Especially now.
