Asking Aurora to suffer that judgment isn’t fair. But living without her… That’s it. That’s the strange tangle inside my chest. I can deny what it is I want, but it’s the nagging feeling that maybe I don’t have to be alone in this world.
I mean, I’m never alone. I’ve got my brothers. I’ve got the band. But I’ve never connected with a woman. Aurora gets me. I don’t even have to pretend to be broody.
That’s what I want out of life…my sister.
Can we make it work? Can we be enough for her? She’s so much. She’s so full of life. So young. Damn. I’ve got ten years on her, and Calvin even more. Why can’t I let this go?
“We’ve got a helluva mess on our hands. Is this thing with Aurora real?”
