“You okay?” I asked as I pulled out and flopped to my back.

“Mm-hmm.”

I laughed a little and then rolled to my side. She turned her head, and I brushed away the hair sticking to her face. “Wanna finish showering now?”

“Yeah, unfortunately, I have to work.”

“Me, too. All right.” I jumped to my feet and playfully smacked her ass, then pulled her up and followed her back to the shower.

She kissed me and grabbed her soap. “Wash me?”

Wet hands all over her body? “I’ll never say no to that.”

“No funny business, mister.”

I chuckled, shaking my head. How the fuck was I laughing when I was just on the ground jacking my cock while she rode my face. She gets me so hot I can’t control myself, then has me laughing minutes later? I scrubbed her loofah all over her back and was relieved to see she’d loosened up since her confrontation yesterday.

Every time she got something off her chest, it was like a new part of her rose to the surface. The loofah hit the shower with a thump, and I wrapped my arms around her and kneaded her breasts with my hands. “You know I love you, right?”

“Even if you didn’t tell me, you’ve shown it since day one. I was just too scared to accept it. So yes, Scotty. I know you love me.”

“Good, sugar. Nothing will change that, okay?”

“Okay.”

We finished our shower, and I wrapped a towel around my waist, then said goodbye so I could go put on clean clothes and get some work done.

At this point, there was nothing else I could really do but wait for Sal. I also needed to get to Royal so I could do what they were paying me for.

Paris and I made plans to go out to dinner tonight, and I looked forward to what dress she’d be wearing when I picked her up. I hadn’t had the chance to take her to a nice restaurant, so I was excited to have her on my arm.

I was swamped all day and barely came up for air. It was my fault for working on Paris’s stuff the past week, so it just meant I was playing catch-up. “Hey, man, sorry to interrupt you. I just wanted to stick my head in and say hi.”

“No problem.”

“Royce.” He introduced himself as I walked around the desk and shook his hand.

Right, the boss. “Nice to meet you.”

“Likewise.”

“Typically, nobody gets hired without me vetting them, but in this case, I trusted Q since IT is not my skill set,” he said with humor. “There was one thing I wanted to ask you, though.”

“Shoot.”

He propped his hands on his hips. “Your stepfather is Sal Damato?”

“He’s the only man I consider my father.”

Royce dipped his chin. “Right, gotcha.”

“And yes, he is. Why?”

“Purely admiration. My father owned the company before me, so I’ve been in the business a long time. Sal’s reputation is stellar, and we’ve tried to bring him on board several times, but he always declined.”

I shrugged. “He likes to work alone, but I’ll let him know you’re interested, although I’m not sure his head can get any bigger.”

My cell rang, and Royce nodded. “Cool, thanks. Grab that.”
