"I get off on being a raging dick, probably because I have a tiny prick—"

Another flare of pain sent me to my knees, but I fell laughing. The rolling sound was full of madness, truly and utterly unhinged. That was one good thing about me. Take away my weapons, my power, and my mates, but I would always have the infallible ability to piss someone off.

The metre of that song makes no sense,Cronus remarked with an edge of a sneer.

"Nobody asked you for a critique," I muttered, my forehead pressed to the cold stone. "Typical man, offering your opinion when it's not—"

A scream tore through the rest of my words, but he got the point. Pain pounded harder, stabbing until I cried. It echoed the throb of blood through my body—and through the two bodies nearing me.

Please don't be woolly yarmouth.Knowing my luck, it would be two giant, killer octopuses who wanted to digest me slowly so I felt every disgusting, slimy moment. If I'd been in my right mind and not driven mad by days of walking, I could have recognised the beats, could have known if they were friend or slimy foe.

"Piece of shit titan," I slurred, dragging my nails down the wall as I hauled myself back to my feet. I knew, deep down, it wasn't a smart idea to antagonise him, but I'd lost all sense of self-preservation a few days ago. "When I get out of here, I'm coming for you.3I want my mate back."

That's assuming there's anything left of him.

Horror made my breathing stop, but fury bolstered it back to life until I was panting. My hands shook, magic pounding faster in my ears. I didn't have any strength left, but spite powered my steps down the cold, stone pathway, wings dragging behind me.

Because Cronus hated me, thunder crashed through the dark sky above, and rain deluged from the clouds. It soaked me through instantly, and I screeched at the icy temperature. He laughed. Psychopath.

Show me your curse mark, Halwen.

I lifted my arm and waved it around. "Not hiding it, dickhead. No glowing magic here either," I snarled, lifting my shirt as I dragged myself onward a few steps. I let the fabric fall back into place, my palm flat to the wall as my steps grew slick and treacherous.

He wanted me to fall, to break. But he should've picked someone far less stubborn.

The heartbeat—Wynvail's heartbeat if I wasn't deluding myself—thumped an angry beat, clearer and closer the further I slid down the passage. Please, please don't be a homicidal octopus.

I stumbled on a few steps, but my boots slipped on the slick floor and the vicious rain driving through my clothes made me swerve into the Labyrinth wall.

I smacked into solid stone with a groan, pain lancing through my boobs and stomach.

"Why is it always the boobs?" I groaned, pushing off the wall and rubbing the ache out of my poor, abused tatas. "Oh, for fuck's sake," I huffed when the drumming rain was drowned out by a loud, grating roar.

Another doorway was opening, the Labyrinth shifting.

"I'm staying here, asswipe," I muttered, throwing wet hair out of my face. "Go into your new chamber yourself. I'm done."

My boobs were sore, I was wet,4and I missed my mates. Oh, and my head spun, I was so hungry I would legitimately eat the murder octopus, and I'd had it up toherewith titans and their bullshit schemes.

Was all this really so he could push me to light up my curse marks? Because he was going to be very disappointed. The scant few times it happened before, I hadn't controlled it.

The wall I was plastered to shuddered, and I was shoved backwards so suddenly that I shrieked like a turkey. My back throbbed where I collided with the wall, and I swore colourfully, flicking drenched pink hair out of my face.

Fuck. Four solid stone walls were racing towards me, boxing me into a tiny area. Cronus was using his remote controlled walls to position me like a puppet. Well, I refused to dance to the jerking of his strings.

I kicked off the ground, using the space while I had it to rise three feet off the ground. I wouldn't let this bastard trap me. Who knew what he was planning to do? Probably crush me into a smear of blood on the Labyrinth walls.

Use your magic,Cronus said in my head, a sudden stab of pain making me gasp. My wings faltered, but I wrenched hard on my muscles and stayed in the air.

"Go fuck a pineapple," I hissed, throwing a panicked look around me as the walls groaned and rushed for me faster, pinning me in faster than I could rise. Not that I could escape over the top of the walls anyway; I'd learned that lesson the hard way.

Stone brushed my right wing, and I sucked in a sharp breath, tilting away from the Labyrinth walls as they pressed closer. Shit. They closed around me so fast my wings were pressed against my sides and I had no choice but to drop back to the rain-slick ground. My boots slid, but I threw my hands out and latched onto the wall. I wasn't sure I even had enough space to fall; that was the only good news.

"What are you gonna do?" I yelled at the sky. "Squash me out of existence?"

Why would I do that?he replied, making my knees buckle. Fuck, it hurt. I hissed through my teeth, clutching my head.I don't want to kill you, Halwen.

Well, I want to kill you buddy, I thought, gritting my teeth.
