“You have a nasty habit of running off, you know,” Char said, his tone saying he didn’t give a damn if she’d succeeded—he wouldn’t let her off that easily.

“You wouldn’t have let me go if I hadn’t.”

“Damn right we wouldn’t have,” Char snapped. As soon as the words left him, he stopped himself, took a deep breath, let it out slowly, then spoke again in a calmer voice. “But clearly we would have been wrong. You can handle yourself and you’ve proven that.”

She lifted her head higher, a relieved smile pulling across her pink lips. “Does that mean I’m not in trouble?”

“Oh, I wouldn’t gothatfar,” I said.

She turned her gaze to me, her eyebrows pulling toward each other. “But you just said…”

I glanced to the side, toward Char, who offered me a smirk as though to tell me I’d figured outexactlywhat he thought.

And I agreed.

“Oh, we’re proud of you all right.” I rose from my seat, then crossed over to where Kenz sat. I leaned against the table, to her side, and stared down at her.

She looked up at me, anddamnwas that a pretty sight. Pink tinged her cheeks, and her dark eyes were opened wide. She’d parted her lips to breathe more easily, and all of it made her look so innocent.

“You’ve proven yourself capable, right? That’s what you wanted, to prove you were a grown woman. Well, that means there’s no reason to hold back anymore, is there?” I traced her cheek with a finger of my left hand, refusing to look away, to miss a single second of her pretty face, especially after the fear I’d suffered before.

She swallowed but didn’t pull away, didn’t try to escape. Her only reaction was an eager nod.

The table groaned slightly, which pulled my gaze to the other side of Kenz. Hayden leaned against the table just like I did, on her other side, trapping her there. Likewise, Char and Tor had also risen and come to stand behind her.

It made her look even smaller than she normally did, more fragile, like prey between four starving beasts.

“You do understand what he’s saying, don’t you?” Hayden asked softly, his voice coaxing and sweet, as though he wanted to ensure she had the ability to truly think through it. “I don’t want you to agree to something you’ll regret just because you didn’t know what we’re asking for.”

Part of me expected Kenz to wilt at that. She was still rather innocent, after all. Even after what we’d done so far, she was still a virgin. She still hadn’t gone all the way, not yet, and here we were basically saying that her first real time would be withfourmen. Even if she agreed, I couldn’t imagine her doing it with much less than a shy nod.

However, that wasn’t what happened. Instead, she stood, still trapped between us. The position made her appear less tiny, but not by a whole lot. Still, she pulled her shoulders back, straightening her posture, moving her gaze from one of us to the next as if wanting to ensure weallheard her loud and clear.

“I know exactly what Vance meant, what you mean, and I’m saying yes. I want to have sex with all four of you—please.”

And just like that, she’d proven yet again that no matter how she looked, no matter how small and fragile, no matter how innocent, no matter how many times we assured ourselves that she needed our protection, she was more than a match for each of us.

Which meant, for the first time, I had no intention of holding back.

If she wanted the four of us…well, I’d give her all she could handle and more.

Chapter Ten

Kenz

My back hit the mattress of my bed when Vance tossed me down. That action shook my brain enough to wake me from the moment, to make me look around at the four men who I’d just asked to have sex with me.

You really are jumping in with both feet, aren’t you?

Leave it to me to not ease into anything, to not think about this logically. I’d never had actual sex with anyone yet here I was, ready for a roll withfourmen? It was like never having hiked then deciding my first time out would be to take on Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Yet, I’d never been the type to go slow, not when I wanted something, and I really wanted this.

“You having second thoughts?” Hayden asked before crawling onto the bed, resting to my left and cupping my cheek in his warm, comforting hand.

“Yes,” I admitted.

He hesitated, as though he might pull away, but I caught his wrist to keep his hand on me. “I’m not saying I want to stop. I’m saying that only an idiot wouldn’t have second thoughts. I want this, though. I trust you—all of you.”
