“Um…about last night. How exactly did I end up here?”

Everyone was silent for a moment, and then Jack slid some pancakes onto a plate for me. “You asked to come over. And you were pretty drunk. So it seemed like a good idea to have someone watch over you.”

My cheeks flushed darker and I wanted to sink into the polished wood floor. If I’d been dry humping Carter this morning…I could only imagine what I’d been like last night.

“Right,” I said, pouring some syrup over the pancakes and stuffing a bite in my mouth so I didn’t have to say anything else for a minute.

All three of them were watching me, and just like the whole shirtless god thing they had going on…their attention all at once was way too much.

Why did Carter have to eat like that? I didn’t even know you could make eating sexy. I certainly hadn’t mastered the art since I was shoveling pancakes into my mouth like it was my job. Chocolate chip pancakes? I loved them. It was one of the few things since I’d woken up that I’d discovered pretty early on and I knew without a doubt—they were my favorite breakfast food.

“Like those pancakes, princess?” Sebastian drawled, and my fork froze halfway to my mouth at the nickname…that was tattooed on his hot as fuck body.

Maybe it was just his thing. He called girls “princess.” After all, it was a nickname you saw constantly in romance books.

The thought of him using that on another person made me feel sick inside. I set my fork down.

“Yeah, they’re my favorite,” I answered, trying not to sound despondent.

It was official. I’d gone crazy. Or at least more crazy than I’d been before. I really needed to get out of here.

But there was just one more thing I really needed to know.

“And, uh, how exactly did I end up in Carter’s bedroom, um, in his bed.” The word bed came out choked sounding, and Carter’s grin was so wide at that point, he almost looked like a caricature.

A very hot caricature, but a caricature nonetheless.

“Well, you started off in the guest room,” Jack said…a little too innocently.

“And then around two am, you went exploring into my room,” continued Sebastian.

“Eventually ending up in mine,” Carter finished, giving me a casual shrug like this wasn’t the most awful, embarrassing thing I’d ever done.

I was never drinking again.

And I was never telling Carrie about this.

She’d be way too excited. Didn’t want to give my bestie a heart attack or anything.

I covered my face with my hands. “I’m so fucking sorry,” I squeaked. Suddenly, warm hands were pulling mine away from my face.

“I’m not,” Carter freaking purred as he stared down at me.

“Breathe, baby,” Jack murmured with a snort. And my breath came out in a gasp since, evidently, I’d been holding it the whole time Carter had been touching me.

I stepped away from Carter and shoveled the rest of my pancakes into my mouth like it was my job.

Plus, they did taste freaking amazing.

As soon as the last bite had been swallowed–without me choking, thank fuck–I was ready to get out of there.

Or at least it felt like the socially right thing to do.

There was something comforting about being around them though. Something safe.

Just another thing to unravel when I was alone. When I wasn’t humping some stranger’s leg after I’d slipped into his bed like a creepy stalker in the middle of the night.

“Can I have the address so I can grab an Uber? I know you guys have to get ready for practice.” I said the last word slowly. Because all three of them looked alarmed that I’d asked.
