Yeah. She’s getting ready right now.

I’ll be at Spotlight.

She asked me to see if they could serve her and her db date fast at dinner. She wants out of it all. I don’t think she wants to have to talk any longer than absolutely necessary.

I’ll make sure of it. I’m at the club tonight. But I’ll text Manny to let him know.
Matteo
Do you want me to come too?
Me
No. Go on your double date. I don’t need your wife pissed at me.
Matteo
She wouldn’t get pissed knowing I’m guarding someone.
Me
She’d be pissed that she couldn’t go dancing because you’d be watching S which means she can’t go since you don’t have two sets of eyes.
Matteo sends me the emoji with the raised eyebrow, then the guy shrugging.

How late do you think you’ll stay?
Me
I have no idea but probably not late. I told her to give me a signal if she wants out. But I’m sure she’ll come up with an excuse to leave before ten or eleven.

Let us know what she decides. You know you can get into either place. She’ll find whatever she needs wherever she picks.

I put my phone in my back pocket. Or at least I try to. I almost drop it because all I can focus on is how damn fine she looks. Her hair’s down and it’s way longer than I expected. Though I see a scrunchie thing on her wrist. She’s wearing a mid-thigh length black skirt, only a little shorter than the ones she’s worn for work. Not what most women would wear to a club. She has a silver and gray halter top on, but it comes high up her back and covers her entire chest. She looks hot, but she’s not trying to get anyone’s attention. Which is cool with me.
“Ready?”
“Yes. Thanks for waiting.”
