“Fucking moan for me, kitten. Be as loud as you want.” The vibrations from his words against her only made everything more pleasurable.

With Pax, he always wanted her quiet, but here and now, she could do what she desired. And so she listened to Rush, releasing whimpers every time he fucked her core with his mouth. She didn’t care if anyone walked in on her at the moment and saw the King of Sin between her legs. Let the whole staff see how he was making her feel—it wasn’t as if it wasn’t something they hadn’t glimpsed before.

And then a blissful wave of pleasure crashed through her and she quaked beneath his impish tongue, his wicked fingers, leaving her gasping for breath.

“I’ve been waiting to hear you come apart,” Rush said, a satisfied grin lighting up his face.

Once she sat up, his mouth captured hers again. She reached for the button of his trousers and he grasped her wrist to stop her. “From now on, the only one who you kneel before is me.”

“Oh, is that so?” she drawled.

Rush lifted her from the piano, pulling a squeak from her as her legs tightened around his torso. He then carried her out of the room and ascended the stairs, his mouth never leaving hers. Somehow he managed to not trip up the steps or crash into the walls. Laird opened the door for him, and Rush kicked it shut behind them.

He sat her on the bed against the headboard, then settled in front of her. Aura peered up at his ravenous gaze, her pulse erratic with anticipation as he lifted his shirt over his head. Lips pulling back into a smile, she unfastened his trousers and drew them off him. She took in his length, the glistening tip, and her own arousal pooled between her thighs. “I thought you only fuck your hand in here.”

“Not anymore,” he said, his voice gruff while he gripped the headboard.

Aura grasped his length, stroking a few times as Rush groaned, loud and deep. It sent another wave of heat through her.

She licked up his velvety skin from base to tip before wrapping her mouth around his cock. Her hands traveled to his buttocks and she dug her fingernails in, urging him to go at the pace he desired.

“Fuck, kitten, your mouth feels so good,” he ground out as he slowly rolled his hips.

Aura continued her movements, enjoying the salty and smoky taste of him. He slid back and forth, his teeth digging in to his lower lip as she watched him. And then his cock jerked. She gripped his buttocks harder as he spilled his seed inside her mouth. A lusty growl poured out from between his lips. “Aura.” Rush snaked an arm around her waist and pulled her down until she was beneath him. “How much more do you want?”

“So much more.” It wasn’t a lie, not in the least.

“I give it rough.” He flicked his tongue across her lips. “Can you handle that?”

“Show me what else the King of Sin has to offer,” she said, trailing a finger down his bare chest.

A knock pounded on the door and Rush jerked before yelling, “Go the fuck away.”

“I need to speak with you. Now,” Astor called.

“Fuck!” Rush’s jaw tightened as he slipped from the bed. “Give me a minute.” He didn’t bother to fasten his trousers after yanking them up. In a few long strides, he whipped the door open and stepped from the room. The door shut behind him, their voices too low for her to hear.

Aura had just been ready to take things with Rush even further, yet this was what she’d been waiting for. She didn’t know how much time she had before he returned, but she could work until she heard the door open, then make up a lie if needed.

Tamping down any remaining lust, she hurried to the desk and riffled through each drawer. Most were filled with blank sheets of paper, some empty, others held books that weren’t a journal. And no key.

Aura checked under the settee, the bed, inside the wardrobe. She squeezed the clothing, searching for anything hard. Her heart hammered in her chest, knowing Rush could come back in at any moment.

Just as she shut the wardrobe door, the knob turned and she bolted for the bed, resting herself in an upright position as though she’d been waiting for him.

Rush slipped into view, his gaze raking over her. “You look good in my bed, kitten. But we have duties to attend to for now.”

She arched a brow and leaned forward. “What duties?”

“Things a king must do.” He held a hand out to help her from the bed. “And it looks like you get to try your hand at gardening while I’m occupied.”

Chapter Eighteen

Rush

Rush paced from the onyx fireplace to the liquor cabinet and back again, the taste of Aura’s starlight flavor still on his tongue. He ran a finger over his bottom lip in memory of her sweet center. Astor sat in a velvet wingback chair in the middle of his office, scowling at him. Starnight was likely offended that he’d slaughtered their guards. He’donlyeaten one’s head and obliterated the rest. If they tried hard enough, Rush was certain they could find all the pieces scattered over Uleis.

“The guards I sent to the border will keep them at bay,” he mused, mostly to himself. There wasn’t time for a war at the moment—it would take him away from Aura, away from his plan. Even if Pax found Aura, attempted to lay claim to her, he couldn’t take her unless he wanted a bride that never woke. Besides, Aura would remainhis.
