Her face went pale.

“Hey, you all right?”

She fixated on the reminiscing couple and looked at me. “I’m fine.”

I think I just figured out why she’s been keeping me at arm’s length.

“Did you want to catch up with Noah?”

“I’d rather stay with you.”

“Nothing would make me happier, love.” I smiled. “Come on, I want to show you something.”

Slipping her hand in mine, I moved through the crowd of socialites, absorbing her beautiful energy through my palm.

“Where are you taking me?”

“Somewhere.”

We approached a door and before I opened it, I asked her to close her eyes as I pulled out my phone and turned on my Bluetooth. Opening my music playlist, I played a special song that reminded me of Aria.

“Don’t peek.”

“I won’t.” She giggled. “Wow… who is that artist? The music sounds amazing!”

“I discovered this new artist by accident last week while surfing YouTube: ‘OFTEN’ by Maji.”

“Beautiful.”

She had the voice of an angel.

Unlocking the door, I stepped into a dark room and guided Aria inside.

“Keep those eyes closed until I say…”

“Don’t worry.”

I headed to the back and pulled on a lever.

“What was that sound?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

“What are you doing?”

“Just trust me.”

“Can I open them now?”

“Not yet.”

There was some equipment I had set up on a table earlier. All I had to do was turn on some switches and I was good to go.

“I’m getting anxious! I really wanna see!”

“Patience is a virtue, sweetheart.”

I attached a missing cord to my laptop and opened some software. Music echoed around me as the walls lit up. I had used 160 LCD screens to create a 5D-360-degree video room. Sixty-inch monitors were mounted on the walls, ceiling, and floor. The image transmission system controlled all the screens to offer a 5D visual experience of video footage. This was her big surprise: she was about to view a time lapse of a starry sky from sundown to sunrise.
