“Ohhh,” I groan. “Wren, it feels too good. Please—please, can I come?”

“Where do you want to?”

“I—ahh—”For a split second, I lose all ability to think. I didn’t realize she was going to give me the option. But the image of my cum on her breasts flits through my mind just in time. “On you, princess. Please.”

She nods. “Go ahead.”

I pull out, and immediately, she wraps her hand around my cock and strokes. Within seconds, my vision goes blank, and I almost fail to keep my balance. Ropes of cum cover her chest as I shudder through my orgasm.

“Holy shit,” I say unsteadily. “Wren, holy shit.”

With trembling hands, Wren undoes my handcuffs and tosses them farther onto the bed. All I can do is try to catch my breath while I stare at her cum-coated skin.

“Even prettier than I thought it’d be,” I murmur.

After sitting up, Wren yanks me down into a mind-numbing kiss. She licks into my mouth, moaning at her taste on my lips. I relax into the feeling of being completely undone by her.

“I love you,” Wren whispers when we pull away.

“I . . . goddamn, princess, I love you so much it hurts.”

She kisses me again, much more gently this time, before standing and leading me to the shower. We clean up, and my assumption is that we’re going to get dressed and head downstairs, but Wren pushes me onto the bed.

I laugh. “Are we going again already?”

“No.” She grabs the sheet and pulls it over us. “But I want to hold you for a few minutes.”

My heart melts as her arms come around me. “Do you ever wonder if you’re too perfect?”

She snorts. “God no.”

I hum contentedly. “I think you’re perfect.”

She rolls her eyes but gives me another happy kiss. We settle into a comfortable silence, and I wonder if Elliot and Rhett are up yet. I wouldn’t mind staying like this for a while, but no doubt, we have work to do.

We only got back from Florida last night, but the house has been filled with an urgent tension ever since. Worrying about Andrew and Benny’s safety has already taken a large toll on us, and that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Me and the guys are a little more used to the stress, but Wren . . . she’s going through it.

I brush some hair out of her face and let my hand linger over her soft skin. If I could get away with always having some part of her body under my hands, I would. “How are you holding up, princess?”

She smiles, although I swear I detect a hint of sadness. “All right, I guess. Worried I’m gonna get fired, and then feeling guilty for thinking about something like that right now. There are so many other things that need our attention.”

Of course.Between Wren getting kidnapped and our trip to Florida, she’s had to take a lot of unexpected days off. From what I can tell, she’s not particularly attached to the coffee shop, but it’s still her job. I’d be worried about getting fired, too. Except she doesn’t need to work if she doesn’t want to.

“Most of our money is Ell’s,” I tell her. “If you feel like you have to contribute financially, you don’t have to. None of us really do. It’s mostly stocks and investments and complicated shit like that. And you know we’ll take care of you, right?”

She chews on her lip before her gaze flicks away. “When I broke up with Adam, I made a promise to myself to never be financially dependent on a man again.”

Oh.Given what a piece of shit Adam is, it makes sense. “I get that.”

Her eyes return to mine. “Really?”

“Rhett was the same way when we all moved in together. He was stuck in that house with his dad for so long. After Sammy died, he had no reason to stay with Richard, so he moved in with Elliot’s family. It was better, but it was rough on him, too. He still felt trapped.

“We all went to college together and lived in the same apartment. The thing that made the most sense was for us to live off Ell’s trust fund so we could focus on school and finding Sammy’s killer without having to worry about money.

“Elliot didn’t care. He’s always viewed his money as our money. It’s who he is—taking care of his loved ones is in his nature. But Rhett was so used to feeling unsafe. It took him a long time to be able to fully trust us.”

“He does now though, right?”
