“So, I assume the tour was eventful,” she joked.

Both of us chuckled.

“It was.”

“No one was hurt, right?”

“I’m fine,” I told her.

“Good. I can take care of these,” she said taking my clothes from Cage.

She next looked down at my pants.

“Do you want to give me those?”

“I’m good, thanks.”

“Suit yourself. Cali and I are about to have dinner. Would you like to join us?”

“Thank you, but we have plans,” I said interjecting.

Cage looked at me confused. He was probably pretty hungry by now, so I was taking food out of the wolf’s mouth.

“Yes, unfortunately, we have plans,” Cage confirmed.

“Oh! What are you two up to?”

“Ahhh…” Cage said looking at me.

“Boyfriend stuff,” I said.

Dr. Sonya fought a laugh.

“Go to it,” she said walking away without another word.

Cage turned to me.

“I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I really need to get something to eat first.”

“We are. We’re just going to get it at the diner.”

I explained to Cage what Dr. Tom had said to me and what I thought it meant.

“So, you think that little homophobe has information that could help us?”

“That’s what he implied.”

“I’m sure he’ll be in the sharing mood after we got him docked a day’s pay.”

“We didn’t do anything to him. He was the one who said something to us.”

“And, I’m sure he’ll see it that way.”

“Sarcasm?” I confirmed.

“Yes, sarcasm. He’s not gonna wanna talk to us. And, I’m not sure I’m gonna want to talk to him.”

“Then I’ll do the talking.”
