“Maybe,” I told him knowing that it was.

I had never slept with a guy before. I had been on a lot of dates. But never once had I slept with them. Not even having a nap in their arms.

I had barely more than kissed Sey before he had asked me to marry him. That was a part of what made his proposal so romantic. I was a Disney princess who found my prince.

But sleeping with Titus had been nothing like I had expected. I had thought that it would make my feelings for my partner more intense if I waited for my wedding night. But that wasn’t necessary. I didn’t know how I could feel more connected with someone than I did falling asleep in Titus’s arms.

Maybe you didn’t have to manufacture feelings for someone by waiting if you found the right guy. Was Titus my guy?

“So, what are we gonna do today?” Titus asked still staring at me cheerfully.

I thought about that. I wanted to show him everything. I wanted him to know me in every way possible.

“I’m going to take you on a tour downtown,” I told him thinking about all of the great memories I had from going with my grandmother as a kid.

“I love it,” he said staring at me like he wanted to kiss me.

Unfortunately, he didn’t. He rolled off of the far side of the bed and headed for his bag. I had been right. He had slept in only his boxer briefs. The sight of him made my receding morning wood spring back to life. God was he sexy. Best friend or not, he made me feel like no guy ever had.

With his jeans on, he headed for the door.

“Bathroom,” he said as he left.

When he was gone, I rolled over and clutched my throbbing cock. The pressure on it felt so good. I pictured his hand holding it instead of mine. It was almost enough to make me cum.

What the hell was going on with me? It was less than ten hours ago that I had reminded myself why nothing could happen between Titus and me. He was my best friend. I couldn’t lose him. At the same time, man did he smell good.

Knowing that my shorts would do nothing to hide my erection and that it wasn’t going away any time soon, I scrambled out of bed and changed. When Titus got back, I slipped past him not looking him in the eyes. Doing all of the things to get ready for the day, I returned to find him dressed.

“Are we gonna grab breakfast here or in town? Because I’m kinda hungry. Last night’s dinner was incredible, but it wasn’t a lot of food.”

I laughed. “Right. Sorry about that. I guess everyone in my family is pretty small. We don’t eat very much.”

“And I can appreciate that. But I would appreciate waffles even more,” he joked.

“I can’t promise you waffles. But the cook does warm up a few pastries for us if we want them.”

“Great! Then point me at them and let’s go.”

Circling through the kitchen before we headed out, Titus grabbed four croissants and a muffin. The poor guy was probably starving all night.

“Morning,” Titus said as we passed my mother on our way to the door.

Her only response was to stare at the food in Titus’s hands. I knew what she was implying even if Titus didn’t. She thought he was unrefined and not as good as us. But what she didn’t know was that Titus was a better person than any of us would ever be. He was too good for my family. I didn’t deserve to be with someone as good as him.

Getting into his truck, I directed him into town. Entering, all of my best childhood memories came rushing back.

“We should start at the aquarium,” I suggested ushering him forward.

Standing at the ticket window deciding what we should get, Titus turned to me.

“Ah, it looks like fun. But I’m gonna be honest with you, I can’t afford this place.”

I looked at the prices. It started at $50 per person and went up from there.

“Let me get it for you. Everything today is my treat. Consider it a thank you for putting up with my parents for the weekend.”

“You don’t have to do that.”
