Talking to two young women, Artist smiled up at us. “Hey! Perfect timing! I have some peeps I’d like you to meet, Thunder.”

To be social, I slid off Sable. “Cool.”

The two women followed him as he approached. He gestured to a stunning blond. “Thunder, this is your Aunt Viola.”

The fuck?

‘Aunt Viola’ was sex on heels. Short jean shorts revealing incredible legs and a shirt barely covering her upper half.

She smacked Art on the back of his head. “Must you be such a dipshit and make me sound old? Damn.” Trying to shake off her frustration, she inhaled then offered me a hand. “Hey, nice to meet you. Just call me V, if you’d like. Aunt isn’t permitted for anyone taller than me.”

We shook hands. “V it is.” I then regarded Rya behind me. “Have you met my—”

“Hey, baby,” Viola greeted her. “I see my advice worked?”

Rya was a ray of sunshine on top of her horse. “He literally fell out of the window!”

I gawked at V. “You put her up to that?”

Tucker came running up behind my aunt and wrapped his arms around her waist. “Beware of this one, Thunder. She is dangerous.”

To confirm this statement, Maverick came walking up, shouting, “Vixen!”

After leaning back to give Tucker a kiss on the lips, she winked a big blue eye at Maverick. “Hey, bestie.”

He kissed her cheek. “Where’s my woman?”

She fingered toward the club’s front door. “Inside with Patience. That girl eats like her daddy.”

He grabbed his chest and moaned, “My baby,” then jogged to the door. “Rya, thanks for giving Patience a ride on Sable!”

“Anytime!”

He opened the door. “Good to see ya up an’ at ’em, Thunder!”

“Thanks.”

I was a little stunned. There was quite a family unit at the compound. And Rya was already blending in.

I gazed back, falling even more in love with her.

Smiling at me, her shoulders rose to her ears as if she couldn’t be happier.

“Thunder, I’d like you to meet my girl.”

I looked back to Art to now see the other woman he’d been chatting with. She was the opposite of V. She didn’t have an outright sex appeal but more of a natural one. Her dark hair was curly and somewhat contained, tied up with a purple scarf. I noticed the color of the scarf because it matched her incredible violet eyes.

There was something so calming about her that I had to ask, “Do I know you?”

In surprise, she shook her head. “I don’t think so.”

Art chuckled. “Dude, this is Larissa. My girlfriend I was telling you about.”

I waved off my confusion then offered my hand. “I’m sorry. It is so nice to meet you.”

Miracles. Sometimes they feel as if they come out of nowhere yet were perfectly planned.

As soon as Larissa accepted my hand, it felt as if I was a computer connecting to the internet. Shooting from her to me was an abundance of information. Memories. So many memories that weren’t mine were now a part of me.
