Removing a single foil package and a small black bottle from the top drawer, Bas ripped the packet open with his teeth. Then, he tossed the wrapper to the floor, letting it fall where it may, and rolled the latex down his cock as he made his way back to the bed.

With deliberate slowness, he licked his way up Kai’s body, worshipping every inch of him before taking his mouth in another possessive kiss. The mating of their lips stole Kai’s breath and curled his toes, but it wasn’t enough to completely distract him from the snick of the bottle cap.

With one hand braced on the mattress, Bas continued to lick and nip at his mouth as he dipped the other between them. Finding his entrance with unerring accuracy, he traced the tight muscles with two slick fingers, then pushed inside with deliberate slowness.

Kai moaned into his mouth and arched up from the bed, feeling Bas’ hard length slide along the crease of his thigh. Despite his obvious excitement, he still touched him gently, unhurriedly, and Kai trembled from his languid kisses and teasing strokes.

But he was done with slow and gentle.

Biting down on Bas’ bottom lip, he tugged at it as he dropped his head back to the pillow. “Now, Bas. I don’t want to wait any longer.”

Moonlight spilled into the room from a part in the curtains, bathing Bas’ face in its silvery glow and reflecting in his dark eyes. His nostrils flared, his brow furrowed, and his expression turned feral as he positioned himself at Kai’s opening.

“Be sure. This isn’t something you can take back.”

“I’m sure.” He had never been surer of anything in his life.

Hooking his free arm behind Kai’s knee, he sank into him with a low groan, burying himself to the hilt in one forceful plunge.

Fisting his hands in the soft comforter, Kai tensed, crying out at the invasion. Jesus, he was big, and he was pretty sure he could feel Bas’ heartbeat throbbing inside him.

Bas stilled, his face a mask of worry as he waited for him to adjust to his size. “Are you okay?”

Was he? Not really, but Bas hadn’t hurt him. Quite the opposite actually.

“More,” he insisted, his voice harsh and throaty. “Move.”

Mercifully, Bas needed no further invitation. “Damn, you’re tight,” he mumbled against his ear as he plunged into him with a steady—but building—rhythm. “I’m not going to last.”

Kai couldn’t think. He couldn’t breathe. All he could do was feel, and damn, he felt everything. Fire licked at his skin, his cock throbbed, and a low buzz started in his ears, signaling his impending release.

“Yes,” he panted, rocking his hips to meet Bas’ thrusts. “Yes.”

The time for words passed as their coupling turned hard and frenzied, rough and demanding. Every powerful thrust pushed him closer to the edge. Every whispered word made him tremble. If he had known how explosive they’d be together, he never would have made them wait this long.

Pushing Kai’s leg more insistently against his chest, Bas changed the angle, and on the next hard plunge, Kai shattered. Every muscle in his body locked down, his inner walls clamped around Bas’ thick length, and he cried out his release loud enough to wake the neighbors as ropes of warm cream painted his chest.

With a strangled curse, Bas thrust twice more, then stilled, shuddering through his own climax as he followed him into oblivion.

Once the franticness passed, he lowered Kai’s leg back to the mattress and bent to kiss his lips as he eased gently from his sated body. “I’ll be right back.”

He disappeared down the hallway, and Kai heard the sound of running water in the bathroom. He realized he should probably get up as well, but he didn’t want to move. Not yet.

When Bas returned, he cleaned him quickly but thoroughly with a warm, wet cloth, then tossed it toward the open door. Falling onto the bed beside him, he gathered Kai into his arms and pulled a blanket over them.

More relaxed than he’d felt in ages, Kai curled into his side and kissed his chest, right over his heart. It would be so easy to close his eyes and drift into a comfortable sleep, but they needed to talk about what had happened, and what it meant going forward.

“This changes things,” he whispered.

“Not unless you want it to,” Bas answered, his voice just as quiet.

He always knew just what to say to calm Kai’s anxiety, but this time, he didn’t need the guy to make things okay for him. “What do you want?”

Bas’ arms tightened around him. “I already have everything I want.” Lowering his head, he took Kai’s lips in a tender kiss filled with promise. “I love you, Kai, and it’s okay if you don’t feel the same way because I’m not going anywhere. Not until you tell me to go.”

His heart beat too fast, and his throat felt tight, but he was done being afraid. “You lied.”

Pulling away far enough to look him in the eye, Bas frowned. “Oh, yeah? How’s that?”
