And if none of this helps, then how about when I get home, we throw a bunch of paint on a canvas and have sex on it? Bet you anything it will sell ;)

I love you, Lu. And even though I tell you not to worry about me, I’m thankful I have you love me that much.

Xo,

Your soldier.

Oh my God, babe…I’m so unbelievably thankful you’re alright. And I’m so damn proud of you.

Ugh, I feel so fucking foolish now for complaining about pottery, I knew I shouldn’t have brought that up.

Knowing what you’re doing over there makes me realize how much I take for granted.

Again, I’m so proud of you, babe. You’re so getting laid when you get back ;)

Love you, my hero. And you should be getting an envelope soon with something for your eyes only.

I got your delivery and… Wow… baby… okay, you need to send me more of those. You just had to go with the all-lace corset, didn’t you? Holy fuck, you look like a dessert, and the way your boobs are pushed up… damn. I have to be honest. I had to beat off twice before I fell asleep yesterday.

If my commanding officer wasn’t lurking around, I’d have you wear that on our next webcam date.

And you don’t have to worry about venting to me, goof. It gives me a sense of normalcy. It’s nice to talk to you about regular things.

I’ll be dreaming of you like always.

Xo,

K

My video chatnotification starts going crazy about ten seconds after I pull into the parking spot. I have no earthly idea why Kaleb insisted today’s webcam visit take place here at our old stomping grounds, but here I am, feeling like a complete idiot as the only person arriving at Mystic Hills Camp while everyone else is leaving.

I grab my phone as I push the door open, and swipe the screen after it shuts.

“Hey, goof,” Kaleb greets and gives me his charming grin when his face populates the screen.

“Hey, soldier,” I flirt back, but give him look of mock admonishment. “Want to tell me what I’m doing here?”

“Well,” he looks down coyly for a beat, and then back up at me. “As you know, it’s the day camp closes down for the summer.”

“Uh huh…” I prod him to keep going as I take moseying steps from the lot toward the cabin-like buildings. My goal in this conversation is to not bring up the last closing day I was present for.
