Once I was all clean and dry, Richard threw the towels on the floor and snuggled into my back again. I moved slightly and turned in his arms. I needed to see his face to make sure he was okay with what had just happened and wasn’t regretting it. I didn’t care if only one of us made love to the other as long as we were together, so I needed to make sure he was alright.
I knew I shouldn’t have worried when I met his eyes. They were gleaming like stars in the sky, and the smile on his face said it all. I could tell he was as weary as I was, but he was happy too.
“Are you okay, Romeo?”
“I’ve never been better.” Just at that moment, a look of horror came over his face. “Oh, my God. Tyler will have heard everything. He is staying here.”
I tried not to laugh, especially as it was probably far too late to do anything about it. I hadn’t met Tyler, but Richard had told me about him and the rest of the team, so I knew they were close.
“Why don’t you send him a text apologising and say we will speak tomorrow. I’m sure he won’t be too traumatised. After all, we didn’t make that much noise or scream out anything likeride me, cowboy.”
I couldn’t help it, I started to laugh at my own comment. I was sure that Tyler would be okay with it, if he was even here. I would have guessed that he would have waited for Richard to come back, knowing Callum had taken him somewhere. Richard quickly rummaged around and found his phone. As I suspected, as soon as he looked at the screen, there was a message from Tyler.
Thought I would give you and Daniel some time together, wink wink.
Staying at a hotel for the night. Will catch up tomorrow before I head home.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have laughed, but don’t you think he would have been waiting for you when you came home if he were here? It made sense that he had gone and stayed somewhere else.”
Richard started chuckling as he placed his phone back on the bedside cabinet and came back into my arms.
“I’m sorry. I kind of ruined our moment, didn’t I?”
I pressed a kiss to his lips. I loved this man with my entire soul, and there was nothing he could do to ruin our time together.
“Maybe a little. But I need you to know that I have never felt the way I did when you were making love to me. You are an amazing lover, and I am sure we will have fun learning together. For now, though, we both need some rest. It’s been a long few days, and all I want is to spend the rest of the night with you, the man I love, in my arms.”
“That’s all I want too.”
We got ourselves comfortable, and Richard pulled the quilt over us both.
I pressed a kiss into his neck. “Goodnight, Romeo.”
“Goodnight, handsome.”
With that, we both allowed the events of the past few days and what we had just shared to lull us into a peaceful and restful sleep.
