“I’m sorry. Tonight is just so overwhelming. I’ve never had these feelings before. I guess I always knew I liked guys, but I’ve never found one who made me feel like you do. You are right, I am extremely inexperienced when it comes to being with a guy. I guess that much was obvious. But I really like you, Daniel. Have really enjoyed your company this evening. I’d love to explore this chemistry between us and would like it if you could help with my insecurities.”

He smiled at me again. “I’d love to help you and see where this chemistry goes. But as I said, you can set the pace. If it means I have to spend the night just holding you in my arms, I would love that. But I think that should be for another night. It is aschool nightafter all, and I’m guessing we both have to be up early for work. Did you drive here or walk?”

“I only live just up the road, so I walked. You?”

“I’m staying at a hotel, about a ten-minute walk away. If we are going in the same direction, I would love to walk you home.”

Part of me was worried about showing him where I lived, but then I saw sense when I realised that he might know the apartment block, but there were plenty of apartments in there. He would never know which one.

“I’d like that.”

We got up from our seats, and I went to pick up our glasses to take back to the bar when Bruno called across the room.

“Don’t worry about them. I’ll come and get them in a minute. Have a lovely evening, both of you.”

He winked at us both, and I could feel myself start to blush again, causing a slight chuckle from both Daniel and Bruno.

“I’ll catch up with you soon, Bruno.”

I blew him a kiss as I always did when I left, and Daniel and I walked out into the warm London evening. We walked along the road, and it seemed that in no time we were standing in the alleyway leading down to my apartment.

“This is my stop. Thank you for a lovely evening, Daniel. I’ve really enjoyed tonight.”

“I have too. Can we exchange numbers? I’d love to see you again. Perhaps on Friday evening. There is something I would like to talk to you about before we go full-speed into a relationship. If that is really what you want. It’s not anything you need to worry about, but it’s only right that you know.”

I thought for a second. Did I really want this? The only answer that came into my head was yes, I did.

“I do want that, and yes, I’m free this Friday.”

We exchanged numbers and stood there for a moment. I looked down at his lips. I was desperate to taste them. I had kissed a few guys in my time, but something told me a kiss from Daniel would be unlike anything I had ever experienced before. As I stood there, he brought both of his hands up to cup my face and then leaned towards me, pressing his lips against mine. I felt what could only be described as an electric shock against my lips as they touched and gasped. Immediately, Daniel slid his tongue inside my mouth and deepened the kiss. I found myself placing my arms around him, pulling him towards me with one hand and placing the other in his hair.

I was right in thinking a kiss from Daniel would be life changing. It consumed my whole being. As I pulled him close, I felt his erection pushing against mine, sending waves of pleasure through me. I knew if we stayed here much longer, I would be sayingto hell with it and dragging him up to my bedroom. Inexperienced or not, it was just how Daniel made me feel. He pulled away from me as we both stood there, breathing deeply. He gently stroked my face and hair.

“Much as I would love to take this upstairs—and from the feeling of things, you would too—I think we should slow things down a bit and continue this another night, don’t you?”

I knew he was right, even if my body was screaming no. Telling me that I wanted his touch all over it.

Again, he seemed to know exactly what I was feeling without my saying a word.

“Your feelings are all over the place at the moment, Romeo. Me taking you to bed tonight would not be a good idea. Believe me, I know. We should say our goodbyes and dream about each other and what you would like me to do to you. Imagination can be a powerful ally when it comes to insecurity. I will see you on Friday.”

I knew deep down he was right. But it still didn’t help the feelings that were inside me.

I smiled and gave him a small nod. “I know you’re right. Doesn’t make it any easier to say goodbye, though.”

He smiled at me and pressed his lips against mine again. “Believe me, it will be worth the wait in the end. I’ll send you a message later, and I will see you on Friday.”

We said our goodbyes, and I watched as he walked around the corner and out of sight. I must have stood there for five minutes just allowing the evening to sink in.

I’d finally found him. I’d found the man that I hoped to spend the rest of my life with. I eventually turned and walked up to my apartment, the buzz of the evening still coursing through my body. I took a quick shower and headed into bed. Placing my head down on my pillow, I closed my eyes and immediately saw Daniel’s face appear. I did indeed go to bed dreaming of Daniel, and my imagination certainly depicted what I would like him to do to me in my dreams.

Chapter Five

Daniel

It was two o’clock in the morning, and I’d had hardly any sleep since I left Romeo at his apartment building. I had almost picked up my phone several times to see if he was still awake, but I didn’t want to seem too pushy. It was then that I heard a notification come on my phone. I felt my heart skip a beat as I saw it was from Romeo.

Romeo:Are you awake?
