“Spill it.”

“When you said you wondered where you would be, I was hoping it would either be under or on top of me. Not fussy.”

She chuckled. “Nice to know where you stand.”

“Stand, recline, pin you against a window. Again, not fussy.”

“As long as it doesn’t involve skates.”

He grinned. “No promises.”

“I wear tights under the flippy skirts.”

“I can open anything.”

She paused while stacking a cracker with sliced sausage and cheese. “Don’t tease.”

He laughed, she smiled, and she started snacking.

She didn’t answer any of the security companies who wanted her on board. Even speaking to them would cause a conflict. When she was done, she peeked at her social media and found that the news was roasting Tanner. Beth was hauling him over the coals and being rather frank about their affair.

“Well, that’s surprising.”

“What?”

“Beth is being honest that I was not recommending Tanner as a lover. She is doing it in public.”

Her phone rang, and she picked it up. “Hello?”

“Tanner is out on bail. He is coming after you. Don’t leave the house.”

“Marshall, you are not the boss of me, and I am perfectly fine. Besides, he doesn’t know where I am.”

“If he is hunting you, he will find you.”

“That’s fine. I am ready for him.”

Marshall cursed and then said, “I am coming home.”

“Fine. Rayden made some snacks.”

“Are you still in your full form?”

“Yup.”

“Good. Stay that way.”

“There isn’t a reason to shrink.”

“Excellent. I will be home in half an hour.”

“Don’t hurry. I am still not naked.”

He sighed. “Give it time. I am sure you will eventually be waiting for us naked.”

“Yeah. Reverse that.”

He laughed. “See you in thirty, Ruby.”
