I would do it all over again.
“Dom played a pretty big part too,” Giana says, raising her eyebrows at Dom as he shrugs. “Don’t deny it, Dom. You’ve been incredible with Sof.”
Dom has been helping Sofia? That seems likenothis style at all. The big, bad hitman and the mafia princess? I feel like there has to be more to that story.
The baby kicks as I take another bite of pizza.
I cannot wait to meet this sweet little human of mine.
Things have changed so much, so fast. From the time I found out I was pregnant and I was pissed and hurt and scared and in complete and total denial about even wanting this precious babe, to now. Now I can’t imagine not meeting this little boy or girl who has been with me throughout so many things already, and they haven’t even been born yet.
I also can’t imagine not having this man by my side.
I look up at him, and he reaches under the table, slowly crawling his fingers up my thigh and doing what he does best to me.
Smiling at him, I shake my head as everyone continues to talk in the background, and I fall head over heels for my nemesis all over again.
Just as I grab his hand and squeeze it, pulling it away from my center and scolding him with my narrowed eyes, multiple footsteps sound in the close distance.
All of our attention goes to the entryway as Matteo and a couple of the other members of Nicco’s family round the corner. Matteo’s face is white, and he looks like he’s quite literally about to be sick.
Nicco immediately stands, and Dante and Dom follow suit.
“We need you,” Matteo rushes out, breathing heavily as his men stand behind him, all looking as if they are ready to brawl. “Now.”
Nicco, Dom, and Dante head to the men as Nicco questions what’s happening. Matteo looks from the men over to me and Giana.
“It’s Gabriel,” he says. “He’s alive.”
