I can’t speak, so I only nod.
After pressing a quick kiss to my lips, he pushes off the bed, smirking at Alina as he passes.
“So you actually did it.” He chuckles to himself, pulling the door open.
“Wait! You didn’t stay and watch?”
I can still hear his laughter in the hallway long after the door is shut.
“What the actual fuck!” Alina spins back around, not the least bit concerned by the fact that I’m still naked beneath the blanket. “Tell me everything, right now!” she demands, flopping down on the edge of my bed.
“Um, do you mind if maybe I get dressed first?” I ask her sheepishly, not able to wipe the smile off my face that very well may be permanently attached there for the foreseeable future.
“Fine.” She stands with an audible stomp. “But hurry up about it.”
I give her an expectant look.
“I’ll be in the hallway,” she grumbles, adding, “you’re so weird,” before stepping out of the room.
I dress slowly, giving myself a few moments to wrap my head around everything that just happened before I have to relive the details for Alina. I mean, I’m not going to tell her every detail. That’s not my style. But the part where I’m pretty sure he just changed my entire outlook on sex... That I will shout from the rooftops.
I didn’t know it was humanly possible to be so attracted to another person, to crave someone so deeply that you’re afraid you may never get your fill of them. But that’s exactly how Archer makes me feel. Ravenous.
I don’t have to wonder if we’re moving too fast. I know we are. I don’t have to question if I’m already in too deep. I know I am.
At this point, the only thing I can do is enjoy the free fall and hope like hell my parachute opens before I hit the ground.
