"Wow," I mutter, gazing up at the impressive structure. The imposing front entrance features a grand set of double doors, each adorned with intricate carvings that speak of history and opulence.

Chase grins, his eyes searching mine. "Like what you see?"

I nod, genuinely awed. "Yes, it's incredible."

As we walk towards the entrance, it dawns on me that Chase has built a life where he'll never have to endure poverty again. It's a realization that strikes me in the midst of everything he's shared with me. He glances my way. "You know, you could move in here if you want."

I'm taken aback, my eyes widening in shock. "Move in? Chase, are you serious?"

He quickly backtracks, a hint of anxiety in his voice. "I mean, not that you have to. I don't want to mess up what we have. I just thought..."

Before I can respond, he takes my hand and gently leads me inside. The foyer is nothing short of stunning, with a high ceiling, a dazzling chandelier, and a staircase that spirals upwards like something out of a fairytale. It's tastefully decorated, a blend of modern comfort and classic sophistication. It's a place that makes me feel both welcomed and out of my element.

“I spend most of my time upstairs,” he says, guiding me up the steps.

He guides me to a bedroom, and my breath catches as I step inside. The walls are adorned with elegant artwork, and the plush, king-sized bed is the focal point of the room, covered in soft, luxurious bedding. The room is a sanctuary, a place that holds secrets and dreams, and I can't help but feel humbled by its beauty and Chase's offer.

“About what you said—” I start.

“We can take our time, Aria,” Chase says, moving away. He walks to a desk nestled in the alcove created by floor-length bay windows, keeping his back to me. “But I’m serious. If you want to, I can have your stuff moved here by tomorrow afternoon.” He turns, the corner of his mouth lifting up. “But I’ll drop it since that isn’t the sort of thing we need on our plates now.”

I glance at the desk, knowing he’s trying to keep things light, then stroll toward him. “Does that mean we’re not going to have make up sex?”

He laughs. “First, we still have a few things to talk about. Second, there’s still a lot of things I have to do. And finally, it wouldn’t be make-up sex… I’d fuck you, hard.” His eyes grow serious. “You can still run for the hills while you have the chance.”

Holy shit. Something changed between us after Chase bared his heart earlier. He seems more expressive. Clearly, he’s joking around about being rough, but knowing that he’s only half joking makes what he’s saying sound so…hot.

I rest my hands on his chest. “Chase, are you nervous?”

“I’m just letting you know that option is there,” he says. “Like I said, I’m…new to doing this. Caring for someone. I just don’t want to fuck it up.”

Once more, his actions make sense in light of everything I’ve learned tonight. He may be dominant by nature, but he’s careful, extremely careful with me. He seems a lot freer now, but that part of him still lingers.

Oh, Chase. My fingers curl into the material of his shirt. “I’m not going anywhere.”

He growls. “You’re playing a dangerous game, Aria,” he warns.

I push up onto my tiptoes to whisper in his ear. “Then finish it,” I whisper.

Chase moves fast as I’m whisked up and into his arms. I feel almost weightless as he walks a short way to his bed.

He lightly tosses me onto the softness and stands over me with a sultry look in his eye. “You have a keen way of ruining whatever I have in mind. I wanted to at least get some sleep today and pick this up in the morning, but then you just had to be yourself and get me worked up.”

I look down to see a visible protrusion growing in his pants as he walks over to the closet and comes back with a royal blue silk tie. Oh god, I remember that tie. I remember imagining Chase having it on what he fucked me over his desk.

The way he smiles seems to suggest he remembers, too. He holds out his hand and I crawl over the sheets towards him until the bottom of my chin slides neatly into his palm.

“Good girl,” he breathes, his thumb brushing my bottom lip. “Hold your hands together in front of you,” he orders as he peels the clothes off me and throws them on the floor.

Something in me quakes as he does, he’s unusually aggressive. But in his eyes, I see a spark of excitement running through him. It calls to me, sending tingles racing up and down my spine.

I do as he asks, and he binds my wrists together with his tie, knotting it firmly. His eyes are bright as he tugs at the binding.

“You must’ve been quite the boy scout in your younger days,” I say.

“My mother taught me a few useful skills,” Chase murmurs.

My pulse has gone through the roof, my heart beating a frantic rhythm. He runs his fingers down my hair, barely tugging on a strand. I feel myself melt. He’s still being careful.
