"Lily, I just...I want—"

"Liam?" I interrupt.

"What?"

"Shut up and kiss me."

And he does. When he pulls apart, there's a smile on his face.

“So what do we name our baby if it’s a boy?”

“Dean of course!” Dean yells as he pushes through the door and walks in on us.

“You were listening?” I say, in complete surprise.

“Not exactly. That has to be the sweetest speech ever, man.” He exclaims as he walks over to Liam and hugs him.

I glance between the both of them, still startled that they can see eye to eye again. “How did you two?.. I thought you both were going to murder each other?” I trail off, still staring at them waiting for answers.

“We have been talking through things heavily this past week. All I wanted from Liam was for him to accept the baby and take responsibility for his part in all of this. He has come a very long way, so we have worked things out.”

The relief that washes over me is out of this world. Liam smiles at Dean and then back at me. He begins to kiss me and we embrace each other for what seems like eternity.

Chapter31

Lily

One month later, and we're back in Paris. We are staying at the penthouse where it all started. The place where our relationship was taken to the next level and changed everything between us. It's been a wonderful week here thus far. This time spent has given a glimpse of what forever holds for us, and our child.

His eyes are on mine, intense and hooded, as he says, “I’ve got your Christmas present upstairs. Come with me.”

Upstairs, huh? I nod and follow, watching him flip the lights as we pass them. Liam keeps holding my hand as we walk to our room and I can't contain my excitement. He glances at me with adoration, and I smile back at him.

“Sit, my love.” He says after a second, before ducking into his closet.

I take a seat on the edge of the bed, tucking my hands between my thighs as he roots around and brings out two boxes. They're wrapped in metallic paper, all nice and neat just like his ironing. He holds out the smallest one first, stopping to kneel directly in front of me with the other box in hand.

“Here.” He says.

I smile at him and slowly tear the paper, pulling out the gift inside and noticing what it is. My mouth remains ajar in surprise.

“Though you had never said it, I do know that you really love this painting. Well, it's yours now.”

It's a simple painting of a man and a woman holding hands as they approach the sunset. A client had proposed to buy the painting for silly money and I’d resigned myself to never getting the chance to behold it again..but here it is. I hug the painting to my chest.

“I love it. Thank you babe.”

His eyes open wide. “Anything for you my love. I had to pull up a few trees to convince the client to get a different painting, but anything for you. Now are you ready for the next?”

I nod, my heartbeat starting to pound away in my chest, giving him a warm smile.

He reaches to the side and hands me the second box.

“You really didn’t have to.” I tell him.

“You should open it first.” He explains.

I smile at him as I finish ripping the paper off the tape holding the box closed, and open it to find a smaller box in it. My eyes dart from the box in my hands to his face.
