"Does it cost that much per person or per couple?"

"Per person. They might offer a discount to a couple wanting to join an adventure, but I'm not sure they do."

He could ask Aru for the funds. They'd come to Earth with a stash of pure diamonds that was worth enough to cover several centuries of living expenses for the three of them, and then Aru had also found a side hustle they could do while looking for the Kra-ell pods, and they'd made money on that. Still, they couldn't throw it around like they had an endless supply of it.

"It's probably too rich for my wallet too." He turned on his side and smiled at her. "If they let us beta test, what kind of adventure would you like to experience?"

"Space pirates," she answered without having to think about it. "Then the mer underwater adventure."

"Mer? Like mermaids?"

"Like mer people. I could go for a merman prince."

He frowned. "Aren't they supposed to have fish tails?"

"Yeah, so?"

"You said that the adventures are romantic in nature. How are they supposed to, you know…?"

She arched a brow. "Have sex?"

"Yeah."

"How do dolphins have sex? They are mammals, and all mammals have sex more or less the same way."

"I know that. But it's weird. Count me out for the mer adventure."

"How about the space pirates?" Frankie's breath hitched, and the scent of her arousal flared.

"I would love that one." He reached for her hand, and he smiled when she didn't pull it away. "Perhaps we could start planning it tonight. From what I understand, a lot of customization goes into those adventures."

She swallowed. "That's true. Mia spent hours filling out the questionnaire and drawing her avatar. She was very beautiful in her adventure. She's also beautiful in real life, but she had those cute pointy ears in the virtual world, and she jokes that they were the reason Tom fell in love with her."

"I'm sure her physical beauty was just a small part of the attraction." He leaned over and kissed the back of her hand softly. "It's what's inside that matters the most."

She chuckled throatily. "Says the guy who looks like a god."

Did Frankie know about gods and immortals?

That would make his life so much easier.

"I am a god, and all gods and goddesses are beautiful. That is why I can say with authority that physical beauty is not reason enough to fall in love with someone."

Frankie laughed. "You certainly have an ego, but I don't blame you. If I looked like you, I would have an enormous ego as well."

It seemed he'd been wrong, and Frankie didn't know about gods. Luckily, she'd thought that he'd been boasting or teasing.

He'd also failed to reassure her that he found her attractive, which could give her reason to refuse his invitation.

"I was just joking about the god thing, but I was serious about beauty not being reason enough for falling in love. I don't mind that you are gorgeous, though, and I'm still very interested, so how about it? Do we have a date for tonight?"

Frankie looked at him as if she was trying to gaze into his soul, and after a long moment, she nodded. "It's a cruise, and I'm supposed to have fun, so why not." She pulled out her phone. "Give me your number. I'll call you if I'm not too tired after dinner tonight. I don't know what they offer regarding entertainment, but maybe we can go dancing or something."

Was she being coy?

"I'm sure we can come up with ways to entertain ourselves with just the two of us for company." He gave her a pointed look.

Frankie chuckled. "Usually, I would ask your place or mine, but since you have roommates and I don't, I guess it will have to be my place." She looked at him from under lowered lashes. "We can listen to music, watch a movie, or talk."
