“It started when I was eleven and it stopped two hundred and sixteen days later,” she says matter-of-factly. She counted the number of days that sick fuck abused her. Rage burns in my chest, and I wish I could bring the man back to life and kill him all over again. “But when Stefano realized what was happening, he fixed it so that Nico and I had adjoining rooms. I don’t know if he ever let Carmine know that he knew, but it didn’t happen again.”

Burying my face in her neck, I take a deep breath and drink her in. She’s ours now, and nobody will ever hurt her again.

“Are there any more secrets you’re keeping from us, baby doll?”

She shakes her head. “I promise you that’s everything, and I will never lie to you again. Please know that I only kept secrets to protect you. Because if anything ever happened to any of you—” Her words are swallowed by a gut-wrenching sob.

“You think we don’t feel the same about you too?” Xander asks. “Do you have any idea how we felt when we opened your email yesterday?”

She sniffs. “I knew it would hurt, and I’m sorry, but if I told you what I was going to do—”

“We’d have chained you to your bed,” I say with a hint of a smile. As pissed as I am that she cut us out, my prevailing emotion is joy. The woman I love is not only alive, but she’s in my arms.

“We would have,” Zeke agrees.

“I’m sorry, but I couldn’t let any of you risk being hurt because of me. I couldn’t have lived with myself.”

Xander looks out the window, avoiding making eye contact with her.

“Xander?” She says his name on a plea, but he continues looking out at the clouds.

I release her from my embrace, and she goes to him, dropping to her knees at his feet. “Xander, please look at me. I’m sorry.”

With a deep sigh, he turns to face her. “Get off your knees, shorty.”

“Only if you’re not mad at me.”

He frowns. “I’m super fucking pissed at you.” Her face falls, but he rubs the pad of his thumb over her cheek. “But only because I love you so goddamn much.”

“I love you too.”

“Did you really just tell our girl to getoffher knees?” Zeke asks.

“Amateur,” I mutter.

Xander’s mouth drops open. “What? I was making a point.”

“Kind of a dumbass move if you ask me. You can come kneel before me, buttercup,” Zeke adds with a dark chuckle.

Lily flashes him a wicked grin, but before she can move, Xander puts his hand on the back of her neck and shakes his head. “Uh-uh, shorty. Come up here.” He pulls her up to straddle him before he kisses her. I watch, and even though they’re only making out, it makes my cock hard.

I glance at Zeke who raises an eyebrow at me. “We got five more hours to kill on this flight.”

Grinning, we both pull off our clothes. “You ever had sex on a plane before, princess?”

ChapterSeventy-Five

ZEKE—8 WEEKS LATER

Lily’s eyes practically pop out of her head when she walks into the kitchen after getting home from work and sees the three of us in our tuxedos.

She blinks, her eyes wide and shining with excitement. But she always looks like that lately. She loves her job and recently published an article on the plight of New York’s animal shelters that’s already been nominated for awards. The media frenzy over Liliana Constantine’s return from the dead has finally quieted down. Life has settled into a routine again, one that involves a whole lot of fun and fucking, but still a routine. However, there’s one thing that’s been nagging at me, and I know Zeke and Xander feel the same. “Where are you all going?” she asks.

I cross the room and slide an arm around her waist. “You mean where arewegoing, buttercup?”

Frowning, she glances down at her jeans and sweater. “Um. Okay. Where are we going?”

“We’re going to the club,” Xander says. “There’s a dress on your bed.”
