I had no arguments. “That’s smart.”

“I guess.” Sawyer let out an exaggerated sigh.

Sore sport. “You’re just pouting because it wasn’t your plan,” I said.

He gave me a deep scowl. “Let’s get two things straight right now—first of all, I do not pout, and second, I’m never upset when sex is on the table.”

I opened my mouth to make a joke about sex on tables.

He pressed his finger to my lips, silencing me. “I swear to God if you take us on another tangent, instead of driving us to your place…”

I could let the threat hang, but I wanted him to finish the thought. “You’ll what?”

“I won’t kiss you the rest of the night.”

And? Best not to push my luck. “Effective threat. You win.”

Evie locked her store up behind us, and the three of us climbed into my SUV. Me in the driver’s seat, and Sawyer pulling Evie onto his lap in the front passenger seat.

I pointed us toward home, eager to make the trip fast, and grateful it was a short drive. As I navigated roads I’d traveled most of my life, Sawyer reached across the center section, and glided his hand up my thigh. Inside my leg. High enough to tease me and send heat rushing over me.

By the time we reached my place, I was more than primed and ready to go.

This was all so amazing. It made me so happy. To be with Evie, and that I hadn’t lost my chance with her after all. And then to get double lucky in finding Sawyer…

Whatever came next for all three of us, I couldn’t wait.

Evie

A lot of bad things had happened in my life because I trusted the wrong people.

But so had a lot of good things.

And it took all of the above to lead to this. To Gage kissing me on his front porch like I was his lifeline. Or maybe that was the best description for how I clung to him. He fumbled with the keys, hitting the lock then slipping. Fumbling and almost dropping the entire ring.

Sawyer was with us too. “You’re taking too long.” His grumbling was good-natured.

Gage shoved the keys at him without moving his arm from around my waist. “You do it then.”

Sawyer slipped between us, rather than taking the keys, and glided his mouth up the side of my neck in a chain of tiny kisses.

This was so much more playful than when they met, and it was a lot of fun. I wanted to do this away from prying eyes, though.

I slipped from both of their grasps and grabbed the keys from Gage. “If you’re both going to be like this, you can stay out here and kiss each other.”

The men exchanged glances and shrugs, then pressed their lips to each other. And their bodies. And… I was sure if they pressed any closer, they’d merge. I loved watching it, because I could feel the draw between them. The realness of their attraction to each other was tangible.

We were going inside. I unlocked the door, let us in, and tugged them after me. “I was promised I was on the menu.”

“You very much are.” Sawyer turned to me, and dragged his tongue up my neck then back down, laying tiny nips with his teeth along the way, and finishing by biting my shoulder enough to make me yelp and sigh.

Gage scooped me into his arms, and I squealed in surprise as I threw my arms around his neck.

“How do I get you to do that for me?” Sawyer asked.

“Learn to squeal the way Evie does.”
