I smack her arm, trying to hush her up. "Keep it down, will you? My sex life is not something I want the whole market to know!"

"Don't worry, your secret's safe with me, lovebird." Rachel raises an eyebrow at me, not satisfied with my answer yet. "But was it good?" She pauses. "Likereallygood?"

"Rachel!"

I try to avoid her question. But she's relentless.

"Did he pin you against the wall with those big muscles of his?" Her hand gestures mimicking the action.

I choke on my coffee again. "Rachel, seriously!"

"Come on, Bailey. You can't leave me hanging."

I roll my eyes, trying to play it cool. "Oh, please. It was just... you know, whatever."

"Really, Bailey? 'Whatever'? With a man that looks like a god damn model?"

I can't help but crumble.

"Alright, fine!" I sigh. "It was... good. Really good. Like... too good."

Rachel lets out a triumphant cackle. "I knew it! Bailey, you've got it bad for the bad boy!"

We're attracting some looks from people as Rachel's laughter bellows out in the market.

"Rach, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing with this whole... situation." I pause, the smile fading from my face. "I just hope this isn't going to blow up in my face."

"Bailey, let's face it, you can't control who you fall for... or who you end up in bed with." She winks at me and bursts into another round of laughter. "It will all work itself out."

Let's hope so.

As we continue our laughter-fueled stroll through the market talking about everything and nothing, I notice a stunning blonde woman approaching us. Her high cheekbones, perfect lips, and cascading curls make me feel self-conscious. She strides towards us with, her gaze fixed on me.

"Hi, I need to ask you something. Were you at Logan Atwood's this morning?" Her voice is filled with curiosity and a hint of something else I can't quite place.

I send a quick glance to Rachel, trying to get a feeling for the situation before answering.

Rachel looks as weirded out as I am, her brows furrowed in confusion. Turning my attention back to the mystery blonde, I respond with more confidence than I feel.

"Do you mind me asking why you need to know? I don't see how that's any of your business." I challenge, crossing my arms defensively. "Also, who are you, exactly?"

"My name is Gina," she says, a hint of desperation creeping into her voice. "And I... I'm pregnant with Logan's baby." The words hit me like a bomb. "I've been trying to get a hold of him, but he's avoiding all my calls."

I can feel Rachel's gaze on me, her mouth hanging open in disbelief. My mind races, spinning with thoughts of Logan, of last night, of the insinuating smile Gina is giving me, like she knows she dropped a bombshell.

I'm not sure what to say or how to react to the news that Logan, the man I just slept with, the man I'm falling for, might soon be a father?

"Oh, Logan?" I stammer, clutching my shopping bags a bit tighter. "You must be mistaken. There are so many Logans out there, you see... I... I don't think I was with the Logan you're referring to." I try my best to keep my voice steady, praying the fear doesn't show in my eyes.

But Gina doesn't seem convinced.

"I saw you leave his apartment this morning." Her voice as calm as still water, while her icey-blue eyes hold mine.

I swallow hard.

"I think you've got the wrong person." I turn to Rachel, trying to appear unbothered by the revelation. "Come on, Rach. Let’s get going." I don't wait for her response as I walk away, my heart pounding against my chest.

Behind me, Gina raises her voice, loud enough for me to hear, “If you see him, tell Logan that he's going to be a father."
