“I do not make that decision, sir. I am hoping soon. You are coming to the baby shower, aren’t you?”

“I’ll be there with bells on. Will Eliza be there?”

“I’m positive she will be,”

“Then I am definitely going to be there.”

“Consider your invitation revoked!” Brooklyn says, walking up on the conversation.

“You can’t revoke my invitation since you didn’t give me an invitation,” he says, sticking his tongue out at her. I swear they act like siblings.

“Can I steal her for about an hour?”

“You can take her for the rest of the day,”

“Uh, this is my practice, sir.”

“Oh, I know it because if it were my practice, I would have been put you on maternity leave,” he says, literally pushing her out of the door.

“I hate you,” she says, handing him her lab coat before walking out with me.

“Aryan, what is this?”

“You said you wanted to go bicycling the other day, but you're too pregnant, so I got this for you,” I tell her, referring to the adult bike trailer attached to the back of the 3 Wheel Motorized Bicycle with big wheels. I help her into the cart, handing her a walkie-talkie and waiting until she fastens the seat belt. She notices the picnic basket on the floor in front of the seat.

“Are we going to have a picnic?”

“Nope, that is just for you to eat as you enjoy the ride,” I tell her. Jaasiel put together a grazing basket with some water.

Once I am sure she is good, I straddle the bike, start, and pull off. I ride on the side of the street before I quickly make my way to the park and ride alongside the creek as she rides in the back, eating her food and sending me directions via the walkie-talkie—Bossy even from the back seat. We finally return to the clinic. I load the bike on my pick-up as she goes inside to grab her stuff and lock up.

“Sleepover?” she asks once she returns and says goodbye to Trevor.

“Sleepover,” I agree.

I slide the tent, aka nightgown, on. Actually, it’s a moo moo. Who knew I would not only wear a moo moo but love wearing it and having multiple designs? Our moms and grandmas had the right idea with these.

“Brook!” I hear Aryan enter the house with the new key I gave him. I figure I better give him one just in case I go into labor when I am home, and he needs to get in. Besides, we are in a relationship. I grabbed the bowl of popcorn off the counter and our water before returning to the bathroom. I needed to have a primary bedroom on the main floor.

“Okay, give me a few minutes, and I will be ready for our movie marathon,” he says, rushing to the bathroom. I have to lick my lips when he walks out of the bathroom with his lounge pants hanging low on his hips. Maybe he’s not attracted to pregnant women., or a pregnant me.

“Alright, what’s playing tonight?” he asks, climbing into bed with me.

“Twilight,”I tell him.

“The vampire movie?”

“Yes,”

“Out of all the movies in the world, that’s the one you choose?”

“Yes, Skai loves it. She says they’re good movies.”

“That little menace probably wishes she was a vampire. Could you imagine that?”

“Yep,” I say as we both laugh.
