The first video shows Paul strapped down on a table in what is obviously a sex room, a ball gag in his mouth, dressed in a grown-up diaper. When a woman reaches into the shot, he begs her to piss on him and is calling her Mommy after she removes the ball gag, and blindfolds him. The woman uses a squirt bottle to make it seem she’s doing as asked, and Paul moans loudly when the liquid hits his chest.

That video then switches to a second one with Hillary and what appears to be the governor. She’s riding his lap while calling out his name, her naked bits blurred so as to be proper for broadcast.

Back to Jane. “From those pictures and videos, are you claiming they would involve children in what’s obviously a—“

“That’s it,” Governor Callahan yells. “Cut it off.”

The screen goes black.

Turning to face the room, he’s obviously infuriated but manages to control himself. “Please disregard anything you just saw on that television…”

But it’s too late. The guests all are making their way to the exit, disgust evident on their faces.

The governor doesn’t bother to remain in the room to watch the guests leave. He walks at a brisk, angry pace toward a door in the back of the room, a full group of his entourage chasing after him.

When he moves past us, his vehement glare meets each and every one of the Inferno boy’s eyes. They all nod their heads, one by one, and smile politely.

But the real show is in the center of the room.

Paul and Hillary still stand in place, Paul’s expression a blank, disbelieving slate while Hillary sobs beside him.

He barely attempts to hold her up as she sinks to the floor, a bevy of her friends running up to attempt to console her. With the room so quiet, her crying is all you can hear.

When they pull Hillary to her feet, she screams, “You bastard!”

Her hand swings out to slap Paul across the face, his head twisting left from the impact. She steps forward to do worse, but her friends manage to grab onto her and drag her away.

Paul remains standing alone in the center of the room in a state of absolute shock.

Every member of the Inferno grins, all of us standing in place when Tanner calmly states, “Well, our job here is done. I think it’s time for us to go.”

Casually, we walk toward the exit, almost reaching it when Shane pulls me back and motions with a tilt of his head to Paul.

“I have one last thing I need to do,” he says.

Concerned he’s about to start a fight despite promising me he’ll stop, I choose to trust him and follow along.

Shane’s posture is relaxed as he reaches Paul, one hand tucked in his pocket while his other remains clasped with mine.

Stepping up close enough to Paul that Shane can lean over and keep his voice low, he smiles when delivering his message.

“If you ever come near one of us again, or lay even a single finger on something we own, just know you won’t survive what we’ll do to you next.”

Their eyes meet, Shane smiling politely while Paul’s red-eyed glare locks on Shane’s face.

There’s humor in Shane’s voice when he says, “You’ve been warned.”

At that he turns me away and leads me out of the building to a waiting limo. Allowing me to slide in first he takes the seat beside me then kisses me chastely on the cheek.

Sharing a car with Tanner, Luca, Gabe and Ivy, we’re all silent as the chauffeur closes the door.

As soon as the limo pulls away from the front entrance to make its way to the street, we lose the ability to control ourselves.

Tanner speaks up. “Did you see the death stare Governor Callahan gave us?”

We burst into so much laughter that we’re all wiping tears from our cheeks.
