My lips tilted up at the corners when I spotted Lennox waiting for me on the sidewalk. I’d been told Adler posted bond, so he was who I’d been expecting to pick me up. I sure as hell wasn’t going to complain about seeing Lennox though. Hell, I’d missed her, and we’d only been separate maybe twenty-four hours.

“Hey, doll—”

Her palm cracked across my cheek, and my face swung to the side. Blood welled up in my mouth from where my teeth cut into the soft flesh inside my mouth. I worked my jaw around, slowly turning my head back around to face her, a grin pulling at my lips.

God, she was so full of fire.

“You are so stupid,” she hissed. Then, she roughly grasped my face in her hands and leaned up on her toes, slanting her lips across mine. I groaned and folded my arms around her, crushing her body against my frame. My tongue plunged between her lips, and she moaned, her fingers sliding behind my head to tangle in my hair.

I reluctantly pulled back from her addictive mouth and rested my forehead on hers, both of us struggling to catch our breath. “Come to the clubhouse with me?” I asked her.

She frowned at me, blinking in confusion. “Why?”

Leaving one hand on her lower back, I raised my other hand and cupped her cheek, stroking my thumb over her soft skin. “Because I need my brothers to know I’m in love. That I want you as my old lady, doll. If you’ll have me.”

Her lips softly parted in surprise. “Harlan…” Her voice trailed off, but she gripped my cut, curling her fingers into the leather. “Do you know what that actually means?”

I nodded. I’d had damn near twenty-four hours to think about this shit and my future with her. “An old lady is more than just a wife, doll. You’re my ride-or-die, just as I’m yours. And I think we’ve both proven that we’re more than capable of riding for each other. So, what do you say? Want to be re-introduced to my family as my old lady?”

She nodded, tears glistening in her pretty, gray eyes. “I’d love that,” she rasped.

I pressed a kiss to her forehead. “Let’s go then.”

Grabbing her hand in mine, I led her over to her old car. This was the first damn thing I was replacing as her old man. She needed a new car—something nicer and more reliable.

“Who replaced the tires?” I asked her as I opened the passenger door for her.

She handed me her car keys and angled herself into the seat. “Adler did. He said he’d get the money from you. I tried arguing, but it didn’t work.”

I snorted and leaned in, letting my eyes meet hers. “You’re mine now, doll. I’m responsible for you.” She opened her mouth to say something, but I pressed my finger to her lips, silencing her. “No argument.”

Leaning back up to my full height, I shut her car door and strode around the hood to get into the driver’s seat, a shit-eating grin pulling at my lips.

Lennox was officially my old lady.

Remi was sitting on a picnic table outside with a blunt between his fingers when I rolled up. He arched a brow when Lennox and I angled out of the car. “You out?” he asked, hopping off the table and striding over to us.

I nodded. “Yeah. Adler had me sprung.” I glanced around at the cars in the lot. “I’m guessing the women are doing dinner?”

“Yep.” Remi winked at Lennox. “You ready for that kind of shit, girly? These women cook for us all the time.”

Lennox shuddered. “My cooking skills are limited to eggs, bacon, and microwaveable meals,” she told him.

I snickered while Remi barked out a laugh. “Come on, girly.” I grabbed Lennox’s hand in mine. He looked at me as we strode toward the clubhouse doors. “I’m assuming you’re finally announcing you two are committing?”

I glanced at Lennox, loving the way her cheeks were colored red the slightest bit. “Actually,” I told him as he pushed open the door, letting us in, “I’m claiming her as my old lady.”

Someone choked on their drink. “What?” Beau gasped.

I grinned at him and tightened my hand around Lennox’s, bringing it to my lips to press a kiss to her knuckles. “I’m claiming Lennox as my old lady,” I repeated.

“Oh, my God!” Mikayla screeched as she rushed out of the kitchen. I released Lennox just in time to not have my arm ripped out of its socket. Mikayla slammed into Lennox with the force of a linebacker, knocking them both to the floor.

Lennox laughed, hugging her best friend back. “I’d say you’re more excited than I am,” Lennox teased her as Mikayla got up and reached out a hand to help Lennox off the floor as well.
