“Every day,” he finally answers with a nod, “as long as you make them.”

Oh, I can do that. Most definitely. With a smile like the one I’m wearing now too, without a doubt.

“You’re the best, thank you. But you better not be telling me what I want to hear.” Pretending to be serious, I grin when he drinks down the rest of the liquid without struggle.

“Let me order a few and I’ll pass them around work. I’ll get you a handful of opinions.” Knowing him, he’ll send a threat to whoever disagrees.

“Only if you’ll allow me to discount it,” I barter, already knowing where he’s going to go.

“That’s a bad business decision. Let me be a regular customer and a cool boss.” Already reaching for his wallet, he chuckles when I roll my eyes. “Also, tell all of my fans that I’m sorry for ordering like ten of these.”

I look behind me, catching most of my workers watching us chat. My cheeks burn and I type in his order. His ‘fans’ like to embarrass me when he’s not here. I’m sure I’ll get an earful once this is all finished.

“They’ll be fine, trust me,” I mumble with a softer smile. “They’ll be more sad to see you go.”

Chuckling together, I give him a very small discount just to appease myself. Then I help them throw the drinks together.

Helping him take the few carriers to his truck, I give him a quick kiss and give him a bag. “A muffin for the trip. Free and delicious.”

Sending him on his way, I head back into the cafe with reddened cheeks. Riley’s already waiting to hound me. It’s fine. I wouldn’t change anything about this one bit.
