There’s a stand in shower behind a glass wall that’s big enough to fit at least four people. The best part of the bathroom is the wide stand-alone tub.

After I do my business and wash my hands, I walk out to find Donnie laying on his bed with one arm tucked underneath his head and the other resting on his stomach. God, I want him so bad, more than I have ever wanted anyone else. I wonder what he would think if I straddled his hips and—

“You good?” He looks up with a cocky grin, as if he knows exactly what I am thinking.

“Yep.” I clear my throat and disappear out of his room before I do something stupid. His laughter echoes behind me as I scurry down the stairs.

When he catches up to me, we walk toward the middle of the hallway on the first floor and turn right leading, down to another set of stairs.

As soon as we make it to the bottom, I pick up my jaw from the floor...again. My eyes take in the massive room with its dark black and white walls, large white screen, two black leather recliners, and wide sectional sofa.

“Do you want some snacks before dinner? We have…”— he walks toward the snack and bar station behind us— “Sour Patch Kids, M&M’s, Milk Duds, or if you don’t want any candy, I can make popcorn, nachos with cheese, or pretzel bites. Do you still love the bites?”

“Yeah, I do.” I can’t get rid of this stupid smile on my face. The fact that he remembers so much about me from our past makes my heart all giddy.

“Go sit and pick a movie. I’ll get the snacks ready.” He winks and gestures for me to sit down.

Picking up the remote, I get frustrated trying to figure out how to turn it on. When I finally get it to work, I search HBO Max, Netflix, and Hulu and findthemovie.

After Donnie hands me the pretzels and a bottle of water, we sit in the recliners and watchSandlot. His favorite movie. When he realizes what we are about to watch, he’s sporting a stupid grin just like I was.

I catch him taking glimpses of me here and there and adjusting the tent he is sporting in his pants. Eventually, he tosses a throw over it to hide it.

Once the movie is over, loud laughter and footsteps can be heard from upstairs.

“Yo! D! You here, man?”

“Wyatt.” He groans as he takes my empty container and water bottle and tosses them in the trash.

“Come on.” He takes my hand, and like a lost puppy, I follow his lead. Always holding my hand, just like when we were kids.

“Dude. Shut the fuck up. Why do you always have to yell?” That was Ash, sounding a bit annoyed.

“I gotta take a piss.” A male voice I don’t recognize.

We walk into the kitchen where we find Ash leaning against the marble counter and looking through his phone, and Wyatt half in the fridge.

“Hey. What’s up?” Donnie addresses the guys.

Everyone looks up and notices me standing beside Donnie and holding his hand. Ash glances at our hands and back to me with a wide grin on his face.

Almost like a proud papa.

Ash tucks his phone in his pocket, picks me up, and twirls me around, releasing a giggle out of me.

“Ah, man! So glad you’re finally here. Welcome home, Curly Sue.” He places a kiss on my forehead and sets me down.

With one hand over on my shoulder, he points with the other to Wyatt. “And you remember Wyatt.”

Wyatt closes the fridge and places an energy drink on the counter. He closes the space between us by pulling me in for a giant bear hug.

“Good see you again. God, you smell good.”

“Dude. Fuck off,” Donnie snaps at Wyatt.

“What? It’s the truth.” He ignores the anger on Donnie’s face when he pulls me back, holding my shoulders as he speaks. “I can see what Donnie sees in you. You are the most exotic, beautiful Latina I have ever seen.” He licks his lips in a seductive way and winks at me.

“Oh shit,” Asher mutters under his breath while clearing his throat and clearly holding back a laugh.
