From his booth, Rocky watched me like a hawk with a wolfish grin. My skin tingled, and my arousal from earlier, when I’d gotten mytwotattoos, hadn’t dulled. He’d sent me on an unending high, which had me buzzing through the diner at a faster speed and counting the seconds until my shift ended.

I wanted him again.

Needed his lips and hands on my body.

Longed to hear his filthy dirty talk and carnal sounds.

It was like my wildest fantasies had come true. Every teenage girl had dreamed about having an older, experienced boyfriend. Some were turned on by nerdy guys. Others liked athletes… jocks. And a few wanted to be with a bad boy. Me? I hadn’t thought much about thetypeof guy I liked, as long as he made me shiver with excitement when he unlocked the door to my dark desires. But at sixteen, I hadn’t known how dark I would enjoy.

With each encounter I had with Rocky, I learned more and more about myself. What I liked, craved… and how much I could take.

I want to chase you through the woods, tackle you to the ground, and fuck you into oblivion. His words replayed in my head. When he’d first told me he wanted to chase me in the woods weeks ago, I had been intrigued but also a little frightened. What if he lost control? What if I didn’t like being hunted and assaulted?

He’s not attacking you like an evil stranger. You know Rocky. You’re giving him permission to chase you. It’s not rape.

True. But what kind of girl did it make me if I considered his violent game? I flicked my eyes at him. His gray depths were locked on me. Tension crackled and sparked the longer we stared at each other. Deep down, I knew he would never hurt me to the degree of putting me in the hospital. His bites had only broken the skin. His grip around my wrists had only left red marks. Not once had he beat me or broken any bones.

So what exactly would he do to me in the woods? He’d said tie me up and fuck me in the dirt. A glorious shiver worked through my spine as I grew full of curiosity and temptation. I clenched my butt cheeks, remembering how he wanted to take me there. But I hadn’t been wearing the butt plug long. I doubted I was ready, so maybe his chasing game would have to wait.

Tonight you’re mine, he mouthed.

My face heated, and my core clenched. Did he mean what I thought? Goose bumps bloomed on my arms as I smiled back at him and nodded. I wanted nothing more in life than to be his in every way.

Rocky was my first everything, my future, and my always and forever. Most adults would probably tell me I was a fool for trusting Rocky, stupid for thinking we’d fall in love, get married, and have a family. That I was only sixteen and caught up in the wild, euphoric moments we were sharing. They wouldn’t be wrong. I totally had been consumed by him. And that was how a deep, devoted love developed.

After two months, I could confidently say I was in love with Rocky and suspected the same was true for him with me. Although, neither of us had uttered the words. Maybe tonight we would…

The entrance door opened, and my connection with Rocky was broken. I smiled and turned to greet the customers.

I couldn’t believe my eyes.

My stomach jumped into my throat. No, no, no!

“Hi, honey.” Mom waved happily. “Your father decided to take me out to dinner.” She beamed at him like he was the greatest man in the world.Poor fool.

“Just thought it would be nice to see you in action.” He glanced around the room, but his gaze stopped on Rocky.

“Oh, nice.” I gathered two menus and acted like I didn’t know Rocky. “I’ll seat you over here. Please follow me.” I went to a table across the room from my biker boyfriend. “Brenda will be with you in a sec.”

“Can’t we sit in your section? We’re generous tippers.” Mom winked and lightly touched my elbow.

“Oh, um…”

“The place is dead. Of course we can.” Dad made his way to the booth right in front of Rocky’s.

My heart ricocheted in my chest like a steel ball in a pinball machine, hitting my ribs and banging into my lungs. Buzzing and dinging echoed in my ears. This couldn’t be happening. Why tonight? They usually came to the diner for breakfast when I wasn’t working, and Rocky wasn’t around.

“Come.” Mom hooked her arm with mine and tugged me toward the other side, where my dad sat, facing Rocky. I obeyed. What other choice did I have?

“I’ll get you water.” I put menus on the table and rushed into the kitchen. Bending at the waist, I gasped for air, on the edge of hyperventilating.

Cook stared at me with a knowing glint. He hardly talked to Brenda and me beyond food and had never told us his name. He liked being called Cook. But he saw everything that went on in the diner. He was wise to keep his mouth shut about the biker club. Obviously, he wanted to stay alive. I had no doubt Rocky’s uncle wouldn’t think twice about offing someone he disliked, or who’d bad-mouthed him.

“Girl, you better get out there.” Brenda pulled my arm and raised it so I’d stand. “RJ just introduced himself as your boyfriend.”
