“I only did that because I thought you were going to be with Tami before me. I don’t like that bitch, and you know it. Were you trying to make me jealous?” I reached for a condom and rolled it onto him.

His hand covered my throat. “Don’t lie to me, Ella. Is something more going on with you and Tomcat?” He drove into me more forcefully than ever.

“Nothing more than fucking.” Something was different with Vegas. Or maybe I’d drunk more than I’d thought.

“You favor him.”

He wasn’t wrong.

“I don’t fucking like it!” He slammed into me, and his grip around my throat tightened. “And because I know you’re lying, you’ll be punished.”

Holy terror shot through me. “Vegas, I swear. It’s just fucking.” What in the hell was going on with him? It was like he’d flipped a switch, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type of shit.

“You lying cunt. I’ve gotten complaints that you stay locked in Tomcat’s room until morning with him after I have you. The guys think you’re avoiding them. Well, not tonight!”

Holy shit, was he serious? Of course he was, and I would be punished. Forced to be with every guy in one night when he knew I didn’t like it.

Bile inched into my throat. My feelings never mattered to anyone, not my dad, the club’s members, or Rocky. “Please, Vegas,” I begged. He felt something more for me, except he’d never claimed me for himself. I was glad, actually. I didn’t want to be only his.

How could he treat me this way if he cared even a little about me?

“You belong to the club, to all the members. You can’t have favorites!” He moved faster inside me and choked me like he wanted to kill me. “You can’t pick and choose. You belong to the fucking club!” His release hit, and I blacked out.

“We need to get them out of here,” someone whispered.

“Why, because she’s a club girl? You know he’ll never agree,” a man replied.

“She doesn’t want this life. Who would after what they did to her? You know it’s not right.”

“Nothing we can do,” he said coldly.

The woman huffed.

Them? She? Were they talking about Rockson and me?

I worked my jaw and willed my eyes to open. Neither budged. Were the voices in my head? Was I dreaming?

“She’s waking up,” the woman whispered.

“Where am I?” My words came out mumbled, and my tongue felt fat. Instantly my head pounded, and my body hurt.

“You’re home, honey.” Lydia came into focus. Worry marred her pretty face. “Here. This will help.” She set a cup of coffee and two aspirin on the side table, then aided me in sitting up. “Does anything feel broken?”

“What do you mean?”

“Do any of your bones feel broken? You’re pretty roughed up.”

Last night was a total blur. I remembered going to the club to party and Vegas taking me to his room. We argued. He choked me during sex. Why had he been angry? “How’d I get home?”

“Tomcat brought you.”

Tomcat. It all rushed back. Vegas was furious I spent so much time with Tomcat and didn’t share my pussy equally with the others. He was going to punish me. I peered under the blanket, and relief washed over me to see I had clothes on.

“He brought you wrapped in a blanket, honey.” Lydia knelt beside me. “I put the clothes on you. He said you were passed around and drugged. Do you remember anything?”

Tears rolled down my face. “I blacked out after being with Vegas.”

“He choked you, didn’t he? There are bruises on your neck.”
