“Don’t mind her, she’s a little nervous,” I tell him.

He laughs. “No need to worry.” Exodus lets out a breath. “I’ll see you later, Xavier, good luck. It was nice to meet you, Cleo, and you, Vio.”

He knows my name.

Exodus notices my confusion. “I watch tennis religiously,” he adds.

“Oh, well, thanks for tuning in. We always need new viewers.”

He chuckles once he realizes I mimicked his comment to Cleo. “You don’t need me for that. Pleasure meeting you both.”

He walks away.

“All her social media is Cleo Clementine Luna!” Xavier yells out to him, giving Cleo the plug.

“Xavier!” Cleo hits him on the shoulder.

He topples over in laughter.

“This is not funny. You both just embarrassed me in front of him.” Cleo stomps her foot, solidifying her frustration.

“I think you did that yourself,” I mumble.

“Wow, best sister of the year will not go to you this year.” Her backhanded comment doesn’t affect me.

“Cleo, you’re so into him and I loved watching every second of that.” Xavier’s tone is still filled with laughter.

“I am not into him,” Cleo defends.

His face immediately stiffens, and he looks at her knowingly. “Come on. It was so obvious.”

“Oh my God, Vio. Did I just fuck up that whole thing?” Cleo goes into a nervous spiel. “No, no, no. I can’t right now. That was a career opportunity, but his unnervingly beautiful face fucked it all up.” She lets out a groan.

“He seemed to enjoy it, and he even told you to apply to the show,” Xavier points out. “Let’s also not forget the fact that this is all my doing. I pretty much set people up,” he tells her.

“Xavier, he’s twelve years older than her!” I tell him.

“We’re twelve years apart,” he snaps back.

“Touché,” I grumble at him.

Apparently, my sisters and I have something in common; we’re all attracted to men who are twelve years older than us. Two years ago, I was saying how unattainable it is, but now with Xavier, I know it isn’t.

I wonder if Antoine Manon is here. I could do the same to Chanel.

But I know he isn’t here. The Manons have too much history with Formula One.

Specifically, with Luca Donatello.

Cleo walks away with embarrassment clear on her face. She looks so cute when she’s embarrassed; it shows her age.

We’re only four years apart, but I’ll always see them younger than they truly are.

“I’ve never seen Cleo so awkward,” Xavier tells me once she makes it to her twin, no doubt ranting.

“She’s liked him since season one of his show. He’s her ultimate celebrity and quite frankly, I don’t blame her. He’s very nice-looking.”

“I wouldn’t make me jealous in public, especially when cameras are around.” He doesn’t like the sound of me calling another man attractive.
