Every brother in the room turned to see Jessica standing at the door as she reiterated, “He is taking her home.”

“Baby, this is home,” Savage said, walking over to his wife as Jessica shook her head. “Not for Solomon, it isn’t. This place was never home for him. He can’t breathe here. He believes that everything bad that’s happened, happened here.”

“Jess, you think he’s taking them back to Hawaii?” Ravage asked.

“No,” I sighed.

How the fuck did I miss it?

Of course!

“He’s taking her back to the only place he knows where he can protect her. He’s taking them back to Purgatory.”

“There is nothing there,” Ink said, shaking his head. “We destroyed it all.”

“The clubhouse is gone, but the houses remain. Sandman and I met up there because we had a lead on Reaper a few months back. Found him in his old house with a gun in his hand. Prez was in a bad way. Sandman and I talked him down.”

“What the fuck, man?!” Savage shouted. “You tell us this now!”

“It slipped my mind, Savage,” I growled. “Next time, I’ll have tea and crumpets available, so we can sit around and gossip.”

“Fuck you, Dylan,” Savage snapped.

“The fact of the matter is, Smoke and Hangman are there. Sandman knows that. Smoke told us that the perimeter fences are still intact, along with the tunnels. That’s how he escaped.”

“Which means all the exits are still viable,” Massacre grinned. “Along with the fucking cache of weapons we stored down there before the wedding.”

“Exactly. My bet is Sandman is taking Sunny, Soleil, and Jax back home to California. With the clubhouse gone and the club settled in Tennessee, no one would think to look for him there.”

“We all can’t go,” Digger said, stepping forward. “With Satan’s Angles out for blood, we can’t leave this place undefendable.”

“Shit,” I said, looking around at the clubhouse that had been our home for the last two years.

Digger was right.

We couldn’t all go.

It would be like handing the keys over without a fight.

“Go, Dylan,” Ravage sighed. “The Tennessee Club will stay behind. This is our home. Always has been. You take the California chapter. Any fucker comes knocking they are gonna find out how we Tennessee boys deal with unwanted guests.”

“And I’ll take the California wives and kids and head to the Sons of Hell MC. My uncles will protect us.”

“Babe,” Savage whispered, shaking his head.

“Go, Savage,” Jess said, hugging her husband. “Just find Solomon before the Satan’s Angels do.”

An hour later, the California chapter of the Golden Skulls rode out with Disturbed MC.

Chapter Twenty-One

Sandman

I had no choice.

I kept saying that repeatedly in my head as my truck ate up miles, putting distance between us and Tennessee. I couldn’t deny my Sunshine her one request. She never asked anything of me. Ever. To give her what she wanted, the only option left was to ensure we disappeared where no one would ever think of looking for us.

That meant going home.
