Words failed me as he lifted my hips and found an angle that made his cock hit my g-spot on every single thrust. I saw stars as an intense, brutal orgasm exploded through me, making my legs shake and my eyes roll back in my head.

Dio followed straight after, coming on a deep groan as his eyes blazed. He thrust a few more times through the aftershocks of my orgasm, sending delicious tingles spiraling through me, until he dropped my hips and collapsed on top of me.

His weight pushed me into the couch cushions, squashing me slightly, yet making me feel strangely comforted. I could feel his heart thrumming quickly in his chest as he struggled to even out his breathing.

“Happy now?” He asked, still panting lightly.

“Well, it was a little quick, but it will do for now,” I gasped, trying to catch my breath.

He laughed and shot me that sexy grin as he shifted to my side. Before leaning over and kissing me thoroughly.

“In my defense, that was the hottest foreplay of my life. Watching you seducing Dave with a single touch and getting ready to throw down with Sam in nothing but a blanket with my cum and your slick still running down your legs.”

I moaned. “Jesus, Dio. Give me a minute to recover before you get me all worked up again.”

My pheromones were out of control, and all it took was his dirty words to have me ready to go again. The room already smelled like passionfruit meringue had a party with caramel popcorn.

“Too much? It’s okay. We have plenty of time for me to practice so I can get it right,” he chuckled. “But for now, wifey, we need to get you cleaned up.”

“Wifey? That’s not going to be a thing. Is it?” I’d never had a nickname before, apart from Lex. It was nice, but I wasn’t sure about wifey.

I suddenly realized that getting married, becoming husband and wife, was what betas did and what I’d always expected to do one day. But alphas and omegas didn’t get married. They mated instead, and it was for life.

I’d just had the alpha equivalent of a quickie wedding with Dio.

Dio watched the changing expressions on my face. He just chuckled as he slid off the couch and stood in one long, lean movement before he picked me up in a bridal hold.

“I have a few more fun nicknames I can try until we find the right one. We have plenty of time for that, too. Now where’s the shower?”

I pointed towards the door past the kitchenette. “I can walk, you know.” It was a lie. I really couldn’t. My legs were like jelly, but I figured I should protest being carried around.

“I know, but, um, where’s the shower again?” Dio asked after he shoved through the door and looked around at the toilet and vanity.

I giggled as I pointed to the external door. His brow furrowed adorably as I fumbled with the handle and we slipped through the door, but his eyes widened when he got a look at what was on the other side.

“Holy shit, this is gorgeous.”

It really was. The door led to an enclosed rear deck that was open to the sky with four giant rainfall shower heads facing each other on either side. It also had a built-in timber bench running along the far wall with a step up to a built-in bath. It was rustic and beautiful, with the foliage from the tree canopy peeking over the edges and the stars wheeling overhead.

Leif’s boyfriend Max had configured the treehouse with a combination of filtered rainwater and river water, along with solar power. He was a freaking genius when it came to technology and sustainable living. We wouldn’t be functioning at all without all his expertise.

“It’s official. I’m moving in with you. This treehouse is fucking incredible.”

“I don’t actually live up here.”

“Why the hell not?” Dio looked down at me as his eyebrows almost hit his hairline.

I shrugged. “I have a little cabin near the workers on the hill, but I spend a lot of time up here. The guys and I built this treehouse as a kind of clubhouse, but they hardly ever come up now. It’s mostly just me.”

“Did you help design it?” He asked.

“Yeah. I did most of the design and helped the guys build it using recycled materials from around the farm. Why?”

“Lex, you designed the perfect pack house, complete with a nest upstairs, somewhere you felt safe. My mum had a nest she would go into for comfort when she needed it, or when the world was overwhelming her senses. Her pack would often stay in there with her. It wasn’t until I left the estate that I realized nesting wasn’t something most omegas openly did anymore.”

“No. No way.” I shook my head, but the truth settled into my soul as I remembered the way Maia had instinctively created herself a nest in the sunken lounge room of Leif’s house after she’d met them. She’d filled the area between the u-shaped couch with mattresses, cushions and soft blankets. She’d gotten territorial when Ava, Cary, and I had approached.

I didn’t like anyone going upstairs to the loft. It always made me grouchy. Even Leif and his mates didn’t go up there. Dio was the first person I had felt comfortable taking up.
