“Why would I drive? It’s your bike so I assume you’re more than capable,” he answered, sounding confused. I felt floored. I didn’t know many men who would sit behind a woman on any kind of motorbike. Especially an alpha.

“Besides, I kind of like this position,” he said, as he briefly ran his hands down over my hips and thighs. He thrust into me slightly, in the guise of adjusting his seat, and I heard him groan gently, before pulling his hands back up to my waist and wrapping his arms around me.

My body instantly heated at the feel of his hands on my thighs, and his solid heat at my back, while my legs were spread wide around the bike. I felt my pussy clenching hard, and my nipples instantly hardened. I only made it worse as I turned on the bike and the engine kicked to life with a purr and a steady vibration between my legs.

Holy shit,I thought, as I almost came on the spot. So much kissing and teasing by two men tonight had left me in a heightened state of arousal. They had amped me up, and I was ready to fuck.

I had to bite back a moan and force myself not to grind back onto the hard-on I could feel Pala sporting behind me. The feel of his hard cock pressed up against my ass was intoxicating.

Now was really not the time, though. I needed to focus if I was getting us both back safely. The fact he appeared to have no ego and didn’t care about me driving only made him hotter, in my opinion.

A wave of increased distress coming from Dio hit me, banking the need a little. I couldn’t stand him feeling like that, knowing I was the cause.

I’m coming, baby.

Samwaslosinghisever loving shit. I was trying to keep him calm, but the thought of Lexie out there all alone was making me crazy.

I knew she could handle herself and had been for a very long time. I’d spoken with Cary briefly about what exactly went down when the alphas invaded the farm. He’d told me Lexie had come to his defense when he’d tried to get between the intruders and the girls, and she had some killer moves. She’d run into the fray without hesitation and taken down an alpha on her own, before they got overwhelmed with numbers.

Yet even so. Her potent scent was out and perfuming madly now. She couldn’t pretend to be a beta anymore. She was now essentially catnip for alphas.

Any alpha would become drawn to her as soon as they scented her. Not in the same intense way Sam and I were as her true mates, but they’d feel a heightened attraction. In the lawless world we now seemed to live in, society’s rules wouldn’t hold them back, as few as there were when it came to omegas.

It didn’t help that I could feel her desire spiking on and off. Initially, I had assumed she was getting it on with Dave back here at the farm, and I’d been happy at the idea. A little distracted, but on board with it happening. Our burgeoning pack needed his steadiness.

Yet when we’d landed the helicopter and headed back through the farm gates, our team member on the gate asked me if I knew where Lexie had gone. It seemed Dave had torn out the gates on a dirt bike, telling the guards he was going after Lexie.

“Get to the chopper,” I heard Sam yell to our team, and the words broke me out of my reverie.

“Sam, we don’t have enough fuel to fly around aimlessly. We don’t know where she is.” I put my hand on Sam’s shoulder, trying to calm him, but my mind was only partially on him for once. Most of my focus was on my bond with Lexie, trying desperately to reach her somehow, to know she was okay.

A growl was vibrating low in my chest that I couldn’t swallow down. Sam turned to me. “I don’t give a shit, Dio. She’s out there alone somewhere.”

“Did she come out this way?” I asked the gate guard.

He shook his head rapidly. “No, and I checked with the lower gate guards. She didn’t leave through there either.”

“Could she still be here? Maybe Dave was wrong?” Another one of our team asked.

“No. Dave said she left a note,” the guard replied. He was one of Dave’s young cadets and he was shifting on his feet, looking nervous. His eyes were flitting between all of us, as if he was trying to figure out which one of us was going to bark at him first.

My stomach dropped. What if she had left for good? Where the hell else would she go?

I’d thought she was coping okay with suddenly becoming an omega, but what if it was too much? Her emotions were spiraling everywhere at the moment, as her pheromones kicked in hard. What if it had all become too much? Had she run?

“I shouldn’t have left her alone after just mating her,” I said to Sam. I could hear the panic in my voice. It was an echo of the thoughts spinning through my head.

He seemed to suddenly realize the depths of my desperation and distraction. He grabbed me and hugged me fiercely, barely holding his own panic at bay to console me. His eyes looked wild, and he was leaking dominance like a fire hose, battering everyone around us. A few of our guys had already subtly stepped away.

“We’ll get her back or I’ll rain hell, I swear. I’ll tear this world apart until we find her,” he growled, as he gripped me hard. “Wait here, watch the gate. I’ll get the note.”

He was gone before he’d even finished speaking, tearing away into the darkness and leaving me spinning alone. I was usually the calm one, but the bond was pulling at me. I’d been feeling unsettled all day, and I’d been desperate to get back and reassure myself she was okay. Now I felt like a rubber band stretched too thin.

Where the fuck was she? And how the hell did no-one see her leave?

The wait was interminable, my heartbeat pounding out a beat in my ears. A jagged pain ripped through me as I felt her mood swing from desire to anxiety. I was about to smash my way through the gate and run down the road. I didn’t care which way, I just needed to move. The urge to find her was tearing at me.
