“Pup.”

“I said leave me alone.” She gasps through the other side.

Hearing her cries, I knew telling her the truth would hurt, but fuck I wasn’t prepared for this. Knocking softly, I lean my head against the door. “Pup, please, let us in.”

“No.” She sobs.

I look between the others, each of us wearing a look of despair. She has the right to hate us, we’ve lied to her numerous times, kept things from her about our pasts, fuck, we deserve her to shut us out.

I slide down the wall, preparing to sit out here all night.

“I’ll wait,” I murmur.

“Me too,” Jordy says, following me and sliding down the wall. Bass joins him resting his arms across his knees.

King knocks again trying one last time.

“Princess, please, let us explain.”

Silence.

King takes the other wall across from me joining us on the floor.

“We wait, until she’s ready,” he says. We all nod agreeing with him.

“I’m sorry,” I murmur.

“You were right to tell her,” Jordy states.

“You did the right thing, Cass.” Bass nods at me. Then why doesn’t it feel like it?

We’re not about to lose Nova, not when she’s the best fucking thing to happen to us, even if it takes a lifetime I’ll show her she’s my everything.

I forcemy lungs to work, trying to breathe in air because I feel like I'm suffocating.

Pressing my hands into my eyelids, I try to make sense of everything that's happened over this last week.

I’m struggling to understand my thoughts and my feelings. Everything feels overwhelming.

Nothing makes sense, Miller is my brother? Half, whatever.

Fuck. If I stay, what happens next? Will more truths be unearthed? What else are they hiding from me?

Miller is my brother. My stomach feels twisted, sickness begins to grow, and I leap over to the toilet just in time to empty it.

Gasping as the last remates stop, I gingerly wipe the back of my hand over my mouth,

“Nova?” Cass growls.

Of course, he’s there. They’re probably all out there waiting for me.

He knocks, but I choose to ignore it.

“Pup, please, I'm begging you.” Cass pleads.

Fuck them, fuck them and their lies.

Pulling myself up, I wash my mouth out, spitting the water and then grabbing the mouthwash to wash the stench of vomit from my breath.
