“He’s upset and doing what he can. Today, he has to call the families. I don’t envy him that.”
“Ugh, no kidding. Why do people want that job so badly?”
“Beats us.”
“And the tomatoes… Are you okay?”
“Just a little bruise where one hit me in the face, but otherwise, I’m fine.”
“That was scary. The Secret Service must be rattled.”
“They are. I’m also getting updates on the goings-on at Stahl’s house.”
“It just keeps getting worse. We’re waiting on the warrant for the storage unit. I’m terrified of what’s in there.”
“How’s Haggerty holding up?”
“He’s doing a great job, but working like a madman.”
“I’ll text him.”
“I’m sure he’d appreciate the support.”
